"You think you're different to me, don't you?" I tilt my head, staring at each other's lips.
Without breaking eye contact, he slowly stands, making him in control with the advantage in height. I'm the one looking up at him now.
"And you...

My girlfriend was the prettiest girl in the room. Unfortunately being with Anna meant that I'd have other guys telling me that too, especially right in my face with me next to her.
"Actually we've been in the same classes since freshman year, not that I expect you to remember but is this serious or?" The boy points to the both of us.
But apparently another level of stupidity couldn't take the hint, even with my hands on her waist and the fact that I hadn't left her alone all night. People still couldn't accept the fact that Anna had settled down with someone.
It doesn't bother me that people think she's too good for me. What bothers me is the fact that these boys think they can still hit on her in front of me.
"Is there a purpose for you being here or are you just mentally challenged? Go away." Anna shoos him away with her hand.
"I was-"
"Enough. Since you obviously can't take a hint, back off. You're boring my girlfriend." I take a step forward.
The guys face pales before he turns and walks away. If I had known prom would just be an event for guys to approach Anna and convince her to leave me for them, I would've forced us to stay home.
But seeing Anna in a long black dress made it worth it. Her hair reached just above her hips and not a single hair was out of place. Her collar bones were in view and showcased the diamond necklace around her neck. Her black dress was slim around her waist before fluffing out at the ends and dropping at the floor.
I wore a matching black tux with her dress and a rose on my breast pocket. I felt lucky every time I saw her.
"This is boring. Didn't you say you saw Micheal with a flask?" She uncrossed her arms, looking around the room for a certain Burnett.
"Anna-" but like she loves to do, she ignores my concern and walks toward the party.
Going back into the noise, people were dancing in the middle of the floor. Lights were flickering in a variety of colors and the music was doing nothing but scratch my eardrums.
My attempt to follow Anna was short lived because I had lost sight of her with everything else going on. Dark curly hair comes into my view and I stop right as Yasmin stood in front of me.
"Surprised you'd be here. Did your girlfriend drag you along here too?" I didn't like her way of insinuating what she thought of Anna, especially if it was due to jealousy.
