One thing about Anna is that she'll stick to her word.

I've gotten nothing from her in the past few days. Every time I passed her in the halls she wouldn't look in my direction and just walked right past me.

I tried approaching her twice in the past week and every time, I was invisible to her. It didn't matter who was with her, they had pretended like I wasn't standing there either.

I haven't taken my eyes off her. Guilt was eating me alive. She had every reason to be upset. I reflected on everything and I understand how she must've felt. Everyone was against her for months. I let Kate get into my head, the bad thing about this was that I knew not to believe everything I heard. I knew that but I still did. I was just reflecting my own anger out on her.

It's been a month now since the doctor told me that I'd lost another 5% of my hearing from my right ear. He'd warn me that as I age, I could experience more loss of hearing. I was ten when I lost partial hearing and in those nine years, it's only gotten worse. Sometimes, my ears would ring for long periods of time or other times when someone would be speaking, everything would go quiet all of a sudden.

My dad was the only one to know about it and like always, he worried but I didn't want him to. I knew the affects of hearing loss and although it wasn't getting any better, I wasn't going to let it stop me from doing what I wanted anymore. And what I want now is Anna.

I watched her as she sat in her original seat by Quinn in English class. They were talking about something together while everyone worked on the assignment.

I knew that if I were to approach her, she'd likely ignore me. But if she's taught me anything, it would be to pry even when I shouldn't.

I saw her get up from her seat, say something to Mr. Dixon and leave the room.

"Hello? You there? I said we need to pick up the directions from the printer. I'll rock, paper, scissors you for it." Yasmin said waving her hand over my face.

"I'll go." I said without looking at her and standing up.

I went out of the classroom and followed after Anna as I saw her take a turn down the hall.
I saw her stop across the hall when someone called her name. It was some short guy.

I stepped into the library and went over to the printer picking up the needed papers, my eyes never drifting from the scene through the window.

Anna was leaned against the wall with her arms crossed as she spoke and the guy next to her listened. It didn't look like he was hitting on her but still, the view wasn't nice. Before I think about what I'm actually doing, I walk out there towards their direction.
