Chapter Twenty-Four: The Light

[Rock Porium - Inside]

Inside of the Rock Porium, Madison is feeling depressed.

"What's up, Maddie? You've been quiet all day." Xander noted, sensing something wrong.

"It's nothing. I'm just... I-I guess I'm a little sad that's all." Madison replied.

Both Chip and Xander who were on the opposite side of the table they were sitting at.

"I know I'm a Power Ranger, but- Come on. You guys are the ones that really... you know..." Madison trailed off. "Lit it up." Both Chip and Xander were confused. "I don't feel like I did my share." She clarifies.

"Maddie, that's ridiculous." Xander said. "You're as much a part of the team as anyone." He stated.

"Yeah!" Chip agrees.

Madison chuckled. "Thanks. But um... Let's get real here." She said.

"Nick did the Catastros thing.
Lupin, saved Nick by going up against Koragg before becoming a Ranger.
Xander, you get all the spell codes.
Chip, you saved Vida." She listed.

"Oh, yeah." Chip said.

"That's cool." Xander agrees.

"Vida kicks butt.
And Kai's the one with the magic snake.
And I..." Madison trailed off shrugging.

"What about that time you saved Daggeron from the curse?" Chip asked.

"After he saved me." Madison clarified. They stayed silent for a bit. "Oh, actually. Yeah. I did do something special. I got turned into a stone statue, and everyone had to come and saved me. Awesome." She sarcastically said before going back to what she was doing.

"Well, that went well. I think we really cheered her up." Chip said holding his hand out.

"Yeah." Xander agrees slapping his hand against Chip's before they both stood up.

Both Vida and Kai were walking together, before Chip and Xander joined them.

"No luck?" Vida shook her head and shrugged.

"Oh, who are you guys?" Toby asked as he appeared. "Do you know what happened to my employees?" He asked them.

"We're right here, boss." Xander said.

"Uh, no! I mean the ones who are never here for more than an hour without running off, and not telling me where they're going." Toby stated.

"Oh. Sarcasm? Well, there's a simple explanation for that." Xander said. "Kai?" He asked looking towards him.

Kai looks momentarily surprised before turning towards Toby. "Well.. You see..." He trailed off. "Vee?" He asked looking towards her.

Vida looked towards Toby panicked. "Uh, we like to go on... uh- Chip." She said and looked towards him.

"Well, it-it's simple, Boss." Chip said. "We're the Power Rangers, and we have to go fight the bad guys." He revealed.

Xander, Vida and Kai looked shocked.

Toby stares at them for a while. "Yeah, yeah right. You're Power Rangers." He said pointing towards them. "That's good. Power Rangers." He said again clearing not believing it before going back into his office.

Xander, Vida and Kai turned towards Chip.

"The truth is always the hardest to believe." Chip said.

Vida shakes her head before going back to what she was doing. Chip does the same.
