Chapter Twenty-Five: The Hunter

[Rock Porium]

In the Rock Porium, Xander was sitting a couch while strumming a guitar.

Behind Xander, Nick placed some boxes down.

"Need any help there Nick?" Xander asks.

"Not anymore. Thanks for asking." Nick sarcastically says.

"Just doing my part." Xander replies.

Vida came out of Toby's office and went towards Nick. "Uh. Hey, Nick. Uh, Toby wants to see you in his office." She tells him. "He seems really mad, his eyes was doing that twitchy thing, again."

"Oh, man." Nick says before making his way into Toby's office.

The others were also curious, so they all stood behind Nick as he enters Toby's office.

Nick peeks into Toby's office through the door and saw Toby holding a trophy with the words "Rockployee of the Month".

"The winner of the first ever Rockployee award goes to... Mr. Nick Russell!" Toby announced, the others behind him cheered.

"I can't see! I can't see!" Leelee says from behind Chip and Vida who were blocker her.

"Thank you, Toby." Nick says and shakes his hand. "Thank you, guys. Wow. Well, I couldn't have done it without the help of my friends and co-workers." He looks towards the entrance where the others are. "Recent hires, excluded." He adds. "Thanks, again. Toby." He thanks him, and the others cheered.

Leelee leaves to went back to work, and on her way she saw Lupin. She gasped, her eyes widened a bit in fear. "Lupin." She says.

Lupin smiles. "Hi, Leelee. It's been a while." He says.

"Yeah." Leelee says, quickly going back to work, a bit frightened.

Lupin was confused. Sure, they were enemies when he was Koragg's pupil, but since he's no longer evil, there shouldn't be any reason why they can't be friends.

When the others went out of the office, they greet Lupin as he greets them back.

"Hey, Lu." Nick greets when he sees his boyfriend, quickly going towards him. "How long have you been here?" He asks.

"I've just arrived." Lupin says shrugging his shoulders. "Congratulations." He congratulate him.

Nick chuckled. "Thanks. You know, I've never stayed in one place long enough, to have any real friends. But..." He trails off.

"I'm glad you did." Lupin tells him.

"Me too." Nick says, he kissed Lupin's temple before embracing him.

"So, what do you think we should have for dinner?" Lupin asks, after they separate from their embrace.

"You know..." Nick trails off, wrapping his arm around Lupin's waist as they walk while discussing what they're eating for dinner.

[Magic Realm]

In the magic realm, somewhere.

Nick, Lupin and Daggeron were outside with Fireheart.

Nick is feeding Fireheart some plants(?). With both Lupin and Daggeron behind him.

"This is a dangerous time for you, Nick." Daggeron tells him.

Nick looked towards Daggeron. "What's new?" He asks. Behind him, Fireheart bumps his head against Nick's back, lightly.
