Chapter Twenty-Six: Hard Heads

[Rock Porium]

In Rock Porium. Madison, Kai and Xander were behind the counter. Leelee walks up to them.

"You guys need a soda break?" Leelee asks. "I'll take the register for a while." She says.

"No thanks, um. We-we got this." Madison says lightly elbowing Kai.

Kai's body shakes a bit from Madison shaking him. Xander, whose head was resting on Kai's shoulder quickly looks up.

"Yeah, we don't need your help." Xander says.

Leelee turns and walks away.

"It's so great to finally see the two of you together." Madison says looking at both Kai and Xander. "It was getting really tiring, seeing the two of you having a crush on each other."

"Was it that obvious?" Kai and Xander asks at the same time.

Madison raised her eyebrow, before taking the book that contains the sales' records from Kai. "Vida is in a groove today." She says nodding to the music.

"Uh-uh, check it out. Looks like there's a new DJ in town." Xander says. They saw Nick behind the DJ Booth.

"Vida is gonna freak when she sees him." Vida says.

"When is Vida getting back, again?" Kai asks. A loud crashing noise could be heard. "Spoke too soon." He says.

Madison, Kai and Xander look towards the entrance and saw an enraged Vida there.

"Hey!" Vida says, getting up the steps and stands next to Nick who was behind the DJ table.

"What's up, Vee." Nick says.

"You're on my table, that's "what's up"." Vida states.

"Oh, ddin't think you'd mind." Nick says.

"Yeah, well you thought wrong." Vida says. "I do mind. Look, I had the level set exactly where I like them. Now, they're all over the place. And this stylus is really sensitive, if you're not careful you could ruin the needle." She states.

"Okay. Don't blow a fuse. "Nick tells her. "Technically, this isn't your equipment. It belongs to the store, so we can all use it. Right, Toby?" He asks.

Toby turns towards them from where he was. "Uh-" He opens his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by Vida.

"But I'm the one who takes care of the equipment. Right, Toby?" Vida asks.

"Well... I, uh..." Toby trails off and changes the subject. "Anyone heard this new, uh, Cameron MacGyver CD?" He asks.

"Guys, guys." Madison says, quickly going towards them and stood between them. "This is a ridiculous thing to argue about. Why don't you just apologize to each other adn just drop it."

"You're right, sis." Vida says and Madison nods her head. "I'm willing to say sorry, if Nick does."

"No, no, after you. I insist." Nick says.

"Well, I'm not going to." Vida states.

"Guys, you need to cool down. Okay?" Toby tells them. "So, maybe, uh, you wanna take it outside. Or, I don't know. But you're creating a real... bummer scene in here."

Nick and Vida walks off. Nick hands Madison the headphones, she puts it on.

"I'll follow them, in case things gets worst." Kai tells Xander, he kissed his cheek.

"See you later, babe. I'll miss you." Xander tells him.

Kai smiles at Xander, rolling his eyes before quickly following Nick and Vida.
