The day drags on slowly as all of my teachers go through the same thing over and over that we all know as the student handbook. Rules, regulations, and all the other boring things no one ever listens to.

The bell for fourth period rings and I get slightly happier. Chance has the exact same schedule as mine up until the second half where we are divided for boys and girls health. Courtney has homeroom and last period with me considering Mason teaches them both, and Gabriel has just the same as Courtney plus second and fifth period.

Chance is next to me as we reach the gym doors.

"See you in a minute." He winks at me as he goes to the boy's locker room and I go to the girl's.

"Hannah." Courtney grabs me and pulls me into the locker room. I'm sure if I wasn't a wolf she would have dislocated my shoulder. She packs a lot of strength in those tiny arms of hers.

"What?" I ask her, scrunching my eyebrows.

"Oh don't play dumb with me. What's going on with you and the hottie?" She asks while smiling at me. Nothing gets past Courtney.

I sigh, realizing I would have to tell her eventually. "The hottie...is Maximus." I watch her jaw drop.

"Your Maximus? Like the one you were bawling your eyes out about at my house?" Shock fills her eyes.

"Yes, but don't say anything yet."

"Why?" She practically screams. "If I was dating someone that hot I'd want the whole school to know!" I chuckle at her.

"Great. I'll be sure to inform Gabriel about this little conversation." I tease her.

"Oh please. I know you're not that evil." She rolls her eyes at me.

"Try me." I try to be serious and intimidating, but of course that gets ruined by my uncontrollable laughter.

"You're pathetic." She giggles at me and softly hits me on the arm.

"So wait a minute." She hands me a pair of basketball shorts and a t-shirt.

"What?" I start changing.

"Not that Ian looks bad or anything, but you mean to tell me that you screwed up your relationship with hottie...for Ian?" She looks at me questioningly.

"Sure, if that's how you want to put it." I shrug my shoulders and grab my black Nike gym shoes. I fix my socks, making sure my elites are straight in the back.

"You're an idiot double H." She calls me by her nick name for me. Courtney finishes lacing her pink Roshes and ties her hair behind her head. I do the same.

"Thanks best friend." I tell her sarcastically.

"What kind of best friend am I if I'm not honest?"

"True."

We walk out and I feel Maximus's presence.

"How old is he anyway?" Courtney asks.

"Sixteen. He's the same age as us." I lie. I hate lying to her, but she would know something is up if I tell her that Maximus is really twenty-two. It is actually a young age for an alpha. So is sixteen.

"He's a hot sixteen year old. I thought he was at least twenty-two." She shrugs like it is no big deal.

We walk in the gym and I see the look of disappointment in Courtney's face.

"What's wrong? I ask her.

"You have Maximus and Chance in this class and I don't even get to see Gabriel in his tight little gym shirt." She pouts.
