the next morning I woke up to luke crying in his sleep.
"luke honey"
"hmm" he said sniffling
"you were crying in your sleep baby"
"oh shit. I'm sorry I woke u up dyl"
I opened my arms for him to lay down. I started rubbing his head as he sniffled
"Luke do you wanna talk about it?"
"I just don't understand why this has to happen to me. I already lost my brother. Now I lost my sister. What did I do wrong dyl?"
"Baby you didn't do anything wrong it's just a part of life. It was Kelly's time"
He sniffled again
"I understand thank you baby"
"You ready to get up baby?"
"Yea I guess"
We walk down stairs and I see til run up to me and jump into my arms crying" I picked him up and brought him over to the couch and rocked him. He and Kelly were really close and this is so hard for him.
"Til baby?"
"Yes aunt Dylan?"
"It's gonna be okay you know that right?"
He just nodded and fell asleep on my chest.
