Chapter 23: Time for Training! And Yakiniku!

Himawari's pov.

I down the street with a dango stick hanging from my mouth. Who to train me? First, I need to know more about my opponent, Chikako's fight.

"From what I remember... She fast." I muttered grabbing another dango stick out of my bag. "I have never been able to beat her speed, and I'm betting she still is pretty fast."

"What'cha muttering to you self?" A person asked making me jump. Turning around I saw Tenten. "Didn't mean to scare you."

"No. No. Its nice to see ya Ten-chan. It's alright, dango stick." I offered.

"No thanks, so what were you muttering about?" Tenten questioned again.

"Oh I was just wondering how I'm going to train. I don't know how Chikako fought in the exam." I explained as we started aimlessly walking.

"You mean that white haired girl from our village?" She asked, and I nodded. "She fought with a puppet. It looked like a snake, but a lot more vicious. The person she fought tried to get around it with her speed, but she was even faster."

"So to get around it I just need to be faster?" I inquired.

"Yeah. I know your pretty quick, but this girl is faster." Tenten told me before suddenly smiling. "If you need to boost up your speed, I think I know somebody who can help you."

"Eh? Who?" I interrogated seeing her grin a bit.

"Just follow me!" She yelled and started running. I quickly followed her. I wonder who she is talking about. I hope it's not somebody weird.

In the end, we had ran to a training grounds. There I could see two other people, Neji and a guy wearing green spandex.

"Guy -Sensei!" She shouted at the man wearing green spandex. Wait... Green Spandex, Guy? Oh... Now I know who she talking about, the guy who rants about youth.

"What is it my youthful Tenten?" He asked her.

"I was wondering if you could train my friend, Himawari, here in speed." Tenten told him while grinning at me.

"Sure! I would love to train the youthful Miss Himawari!" He gave me two thumbs up with a weird smile.

"I think I'm going to go..." I started to turn around.

"Your already here!" Ten started pushing me forward.

Just as she started pushing me I stopped trying to go to the side. Her Sensei, Guy, suddenly grabbed Ten and I into a hug.

"Alright, my youthful students lets warm up with 100, no 500 laps around the village, and the last one back gets to do push-ups!" He shouted making all three of us exasperated.

"Is he serious?" I questioned Neji and Ten as we started to jog. I noticed Guy- Sensei started running.

"He's more serious about training than anybody you will ever meet." Neji responded obviously used to his teacher's methods.

"Yeah, it's easier to just go with it." Ten added smiling at my irritation. I have her a nasty glare, but I didn't really mean it.

"Finally!" I panted dropping into the ground.

We had finally finished all the exercise, and my body was screaming in agony. Well, it would be if it wasn't so exhausted. By now the sun had started to go down which pissed me off. My whole day gone! I know I meant to train, but seriously? I wanted to do other things.
