Author's note : I've informed already on my message board that I'm not well since Friday evening. Still I get messages to update the chapters on scrollstack. If the chapters were ready, I would have posted there without any delay. Give me a week to get back on the track and I'll resume the updates.
And the chapters aren't short. I'm maintaining my average chapter length. But in this book, the main leads observe every minute details around themselves. If you have read my other books, you must have noticed them with fast paced scenes but here, in this book, the writing pattern is different.
Timeline clarification: Chapter 1 was set in the month of January of xyz year. Maahir and Pankti got married on March 22nd of the same year in Chapter 7. Chapter 22 is set in second week of July of the same year. I hope this information helps you.

Adarsh opened the cargate, revealing Kiara standing on the roadside. Her knuckles turned white as her fingers gripped her bag’s straps tightly. She stepped in and removed it without uttering a word; her eyes stared down. Adarsh walked around and slid behind the wheel. The car retrieved motion, yet she embraced a quirky silence.
“Kiara.” I pulled the water bottle from my bag and passed it on her side.
“No, thanks.” She returned it and brushed her hand over her face. Her nose turned red exposing that she witnessed the worst emotional breakdown before our arrival.
But what could be the reason?
Mr. Raghuvanshi informed us to pick her up on our way without disclosing any valid justification. I saw them together getting inside the car back at the mansion. I observed her staring out of the window. I never witnessed this side of hers.
“I wish Avyukta Bhai were alive.” She broke the silence. “He loved you so much but what did you do? Married Maahir?”Her voice trembled, “He used to mention his plans, his dreams with you. But I never knew you would betray him by marrying that good-for-nothing manwhore.”
“Kiara!”
She faced me. “Oh, are my words hurting you, Mrs. Pankti Maahir Raghuvanshi?”
“Why are you dragging me into your family matters?”
“Because you married the man who destroyed everything since his birth! His mother snatched my father from my mom. He snatched my brother's happiness and him from us. What can I expect from him when he never understood what a family means to someone? He would never because he never had one because of his own fucking mistakes.”
