'Traveler? Paimon?' Cale noticed the two backstage.

The makeup and costume artists stripped Cale, changing him into someone new.

The two waved at Cale, approaching him.

"What're you two doing here?" Cale asked.

"Well, Hu Tao wanted us to be a part of the play last minute. So we decided why not. I didn't expect you to be here as well." Traveler answered.

"Paimon wants to know what it's like on the big stage!" Paimon daydreamed in the air.

"What's your roles?" Cale asked.

"Uhh, apparently we're the Red-Headed Hero's companions." Paimon awkwardly answered. "I didn't know he had companions!"

"It's probably something they added to enhance the story."

"Ah, that might be it!" Paimon agreed with Cale. "Anyways. Our scene is coming up next, are you ready?"

Cale and Traveler nodded.

"Over here." Someone quietly called out for the three.

They walked over to the person, getting led to the other side of the stage through the back.

"Just follow our lead." Traveler reassured Cale. "The director told me that the main attraction for the play wasn't given the script."

'I wouldn't say I'm the main attraction.' Cale debunked their theory. He followed Traveler onto the stage, standing there.

The curtains opened once again, revealing a new set.

"The famed travelers walked across Liyue with their newfound friend, joining the harbor for their festival." Zhongli walked across the stage, opposite to the three. He came to a halt as he passed Cale, his eyes widened like a professional actor. "Rex Lapis stopped at that moment his eyes laid sight on him. It was the red-haired hero, he had returned."

'Wait, what?' Cale's face froze, tickling with anxiety.

Zhongli turned around, running towards Cale.

Cale's eyes widened, shocked. 'Why are you running here?!' He closed his eyes tightly, waiting for impact.

Thud!

Cale opened his eyes. Something was holding his hand up into the air.

Zhongli faced Cale, inches away. He held Cale around the waist, stopping a fall. "Rex Lapis found a glimmer of hope." He smiled gently. "The year would prosper once again."

The curtains closed as dancers and music covered the stage once again.

"..."

"REX LAPIS AND THE HERO HAVE RETURNED!"

"Rex Lapis was alive? I thought he died years ago..."

"Foolish. It must be true, our god was saddened by the loss of a lover, he went into isolation, that must be it!"

"Then he's returned! Along with the red-haired hero!"

Cale attempted to push Zhongli off his grasp in fit of anger.

"Cale." Traveler approached them. "Even if I read the script, I didn't expect you to actually be the red-haired hero."

Zhongli let go of Cale. "The stories were made after his disappearance, I doubt he'll know of them."

"I guess that is true." Traveler nodded.

Paimon flew in front of Cale's face, making him retreat backwards. "Paimon didn't know you were such a famous person! Paimon wishes Paimon would've known before!"

'Because I'm not!' Cale's face turned pale from the amount of stress this play had garnered to his mental state.
