Cale brought the box inside.
Xiao and Zhongli peaked over, trying to get a better look as Cale opened the box.
"Clothing?" Zhongli questioned. He picked out a piece from the pile, holding it up in the air to get a better look.
Cale shrieked quietly. What the fuck did Chiori send him now?
It was a dress...
Cale looked back at the box, a letter placed on top. He picked it up, reading it silently.
"You'll look absolutely beautiful in this dress, mom!" Xiao cheered Cale up to no avail.
The letter read—apologies, I got a bit distracted while making your order. I sincerely hope you don't mind. You won't need to pay extra for the pieces, it's on the house. The clothes you ordered are on the bottom. I hope you make use of the others.
"..." Cale was speechless. Did people here not care about this.. type of attire...?
And so Cale had no choice but to wear the dresses provided by Chiori, don't ask why.
"Where's Traveler and Paimon?" Cale asked.
"They already left for Inazuma." Zhongli answered. He was slightly blushing, trying to avoid looking at Cale.
Cale was wearing a white and pastel pink combo dress, short and barely covering his bottom. His smooth, silky legs were out in the open, breezing against the warm winds. And he wore short platform heels that corresponded with the dress, ones that Chiori also provided—knowing Cale would not have matching shoes.
Cale's face was a bit pale, sick of this treatment. Why was he even outside walking with these two?
"Hey, comrades!" Tartaglia came back onto the stage. He stopped when his gaze met Cale's figure. "Dressed up for the occasion, huh?" He flirtatiously winked at Cale.
Cale went on with his business, ignoring Tartaglia.
Zhongli and Xiao also gave the cold shoulder to him, although more menacingly.
"You know, my offer still stands." Tartaglia reminded Cale. "Let's chat over a meal, shall we?" He offered a hand to the lady.
"OUR LORD AND SAVIOR HAS RETURNED!!"
Crazy, why are people chasing them down right now?!
Tartaglia swept Cale off his feet, taking him into a princess carry. "So where are we heading, comrade?"
Cale clenched onto Tartaglia's shoulder, afraid to fall. His body felt heavy from the harsh winds. Where should he go, was there any place to hide right now?
"Why don't you accept my offer then? The restaurant is just up ahead." Tartaglia suggested.
"Alright." Cale knowing went into his trap.
They shortly arrived at the restaurant, closing the door shut tightly behind them, they entered a separate room—a private dining.
"Those must've been the believers. Isn't that right, mr. Red-Haired Hero." Tartaglia grinned.
"What?" Cale raised an eyebrow, confused.
"Don't try digging into his past, Childe." Zhongli shut Tartaglia up, sipping his tea.
What past? What past are they talking about? Cale didn't have any prior involvement with the people of Teyvat. And, believers? Was there some kind of religion, or cult? And why did he call him the hero? He was just the actor...
