Chapter Forty Four

The first day back to school/ October

"Yes mommy! I'm getting ready now!" The young woman roughly cleaned her face with her skincare products before brushing her teeth. Looking into the mirror she cups her mouth before heading to the toilet to puke. She gags before puking up everything she ate the day before. Shaking her head, she drops to the floor with a headache in tow. "What's wrong with me?"

"Thank you mommy." The woman nodded before handing her the lunchbag she packed for her. She didn't care what others had to say because she was still gonna make her baby her lunch. "Come here." The young woman walked to her mother who smiled and fixed her silk press and uniform for her. Making sure everything was okay, her smile dropped before grabbing the young woman's chin. Frowning, she brings her face closer to look deeply into her eyes. Jenna pulled back seeing her tilt her head in confusion and worry. "Go to school baby, I love you. Be safe and don't drive fast. I sent you money just to have on you." Nodding her head, she looked in confusion before heading out the door.

"Good morning baby." She smiled hearing his morning voice as she entered her new car. Her father bought her a Chrysler 200 convertible which she decorated white and purple. "I didn't want to wake you-"

"You good, I got class in a few hours anyways. Make sure you call me and text me when you can." She nods before connecting her phone to the car. Making sure everything was good, she looks seeing his phone setup to where she could see he was snuggled under his covers. She smiles seeing the bear she had gotten him for his first basketball game sitting proudly on his nightstand. "I will baby."

"Hi, can I have a hotcake breakfast and a strawberry banana smoothie, please? Thank you." She sits back in her seat as she heard him snoring on the line. She giggled seeing him snuggled up under his big blankets.

"Mmm." She did her happy dance as she ate her hot breakfast. Glancing once again, she sees him still sleeping. Hanging up the phone, she watches seeing him immediately call her back. "Why you hung up?"

"Cause baby, I'm about to go to school. I'll text you or call you if you not in class." He nodded before kissing the camera knowing she would ask him to anyways. "I love you ma." She blushed hearing him sound so groggily yet still sweet. "I love you too baby."

Texting him before she signed out to go get lunch, she smiles seeing him send a picture of the new tattoo he gotten over the weekend when he came to visit. It was on his calf but he didn't show anyone else until now. He was very excited when he came to see her. He even took Lou go karting and to the movies so he could spend time with him and he was getting so big. Omari knew he was gonna be tall too.

After grabbing her lunch from Panera, she heads back to her car before checking her surroundings. Furrowing her eyebrows, she looks seeing a car she could've sworn she saw at the pharmacy where she got some snacks and the benefit of her doubts. Shaking her head, she pulls her door before giggling once she realized she forgot to unlock the door. Reaching into her Marc Jacob's bag, she screamed feeling multiple hands pull her to the ground.

"So since you don't want to take me out? How about I take you out?" Rolling his eyes, he pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration seeing her so persistent about him going a date with her. He didn't want anyone else but Tora'lei. His baby. "I got a girl-"

"I know you told me, but it's just a friendly date. What you can't have friends?" He chuckled to himself while the girl looked up at him with a flirtatious smile. "No I can't have a friendly date, that right there tells me what your intentions are. I'm not gonna fuck you. I'm not spending my money on you. And you beneath my girl, so move." She gasped seeing him walk off not before grabbing his lunch from Chick Fil A. Checking his phone, he looks not seeing anymore messages and she should've been home by now. Biting his lips, he rubs his chest feeling a slight tug on his heart before shrugging it off. "She might be sleep."

"She still ain't texted back?" Checking his messages, his eyes squinted seeing it's been two more hours since he last checked and almost night time. Shaking his head, he called his mom hoping she knew what was happening. "Yes, move Los!" He chuckled hearing the two go back and forth due to his father being touchy while she was cooking.

"Hey momma you good?" She nodded before calling him through FaceTime. His face scrunched up in disgust seeing his father slaps his mom's booty. "Eww, anyways have you talked to mi bebe? She ain't texted me back and she been out of school." She furrows her eyebrows in confusion knowing Jenna wouldn't do anything like that. She probably was sleeping.

"She's probably sleeping but I'll check with Tash. How's everything going?"

Picking up his phone, he looks seeing his mother call him. "She's in the hospital! Oh my! We're going to see her now!" His face dropped in worry before grabbing his car keys. "I'm on the way!"

"I understand that you're no longer a virgin but respect my house! No one should be coming in and out my house without me knowing. It's dangerous and that man is still on the loose!" Cassidy rolled her eyes seeing her mother pace back and forth with the gold wrapper in her hand. Rolling her eyes, she rubbed her belly with a light smile. Furrowing her eyebrows, her mother stopped seeing her do such a confusing manner. "Don't tell me-"

"Tell you what mom? That you're gonna be a grandma?" Evony gasped in shock and disbelief seeing her smile. "Why would you do this?!"

Bursting through the hospital doors, he frantically ran to the front desk as the family waited patiently. Lou was crying for so long and her parents just stared at the blank wall. "My girlfriend, my girlfriend is here!" The woman tried to calm him down as his hand shivers and he felt a headache coming. "What's her name sir?"

"Jennavieve Wilkins, can you tell me what happened-"

"Family of Ms. Wilkins?" Everyone rushed to the older white man who had a professional look and a clipboard in his hand. "How is she doctor?"

"What do you mean I'm gonna be a grandma?! Amber! Amber get your ass in here for I kill her!" The woman ran into the young woman's room seeing her ball into the corner clearly frightened from her enraged mother. "Baby! Calm down! What's going on?" She took the belt gently from the woman's hands seeing her drop uneasy tears. "S-she said she's pregnant." Amber gasped as she hugged her in need of some help and comfort. "W-what? What about wanting to be a dancer? Owning your own studio?" She shrugged before rubbing the light pudge she called her belly. "I don't care anymore, I just want my baby-"

"You're a disappointment! That baby will have a nuisance of a mother!" Amber covered her mouth as Cassidy's eyes looked with so much hurt hearing her mother's words. "Baby calm down-"

"No! Finish what you have to say! Say it! My baby will have a father and a mother who loves him! He will play basketball just like him!" Amber looked seeing her look so much more hurt. "Who's the father?" Cassidy smiled as she rubbed her belly. "Omari Perez, you've probably heard that before. And if I'm such a disappointment? Tell Amber how you got drunk and slept with my dad." Amber removed her arms from around the woman who just shook her head. Her face dropped with so much pain as she pleaded with her. "Baby, I-I'm so sorry, it was an accident." She shook her head in disbelief as she tried to hold her hand to make her case better. "So it's true?"

"Can I see her alone?" Everyone nodded while he dropped unbearable tears. His hands shook uncontrollably as they reached for the metal doorknob. Twisting the knob, he walked in before his head dropped seeing the condition she was in. Covering his mouth, he let out a painful sigh seeing her heart monitor beeping slowly. She was alive. Walking to her bedside, he grabbed her hand that was free of a cast unlike the other one. Kissing her chapped lips, he watched as her chest moved up and down. "I'm so sorry baby." Looking at her belly that was slightly covered, he dropped more tears with a heavy heart.
