Jennavieve Tora'lei Wilkins
18 years old
Jacksonville, Florida 📍
A few weeks later
Everything has been going well so far, my baby finally settled into school. He met his roommates which were only two people. He said he tried out for all his sports in this season and made every last one. He works on the weekends and he always makes sure I'm good. Even while being a few hours away he still takes care of me. The only problem is that he's a big baby without me. My helpless little baby.
"Should I get the bone in chicken or the boneless chicken for the stew you be making?" She looks into the camera seeing him walking in the grocery store. He had all his piercings in and his hair is to his neck now. She was happy he was growing it back out. "It don't matter baby-"
"Yes it do, which one?" She giggles seeing him pout with both recommendations in his hands. "I feel like bone in has more flavor but boneless holds the flavor in. I say get both. So that way you can have one for later but use boneless for the stew." He nods before tossing both in the cart. They both decided to eat healthier and they both stuck to it even though they were temporarily apart. She looks seeing him in a compression shirt causing her to bite her lips. She was on ten and he wasn't here to help her anymore.
"What's on the menu for this week?" She looks seeing him shirtless in the kitchen while he got his groceries out to prepare for meal prep. "Uhhh for breakfast I'm making breakfast sandwiches, imma do some salads, some protein shakes and smoothies, then imma make the stew chicken and rice with some yams." She smiles seeing him move around the kitchen like he knew a little something and she liked that. He looked happy and that made her happy too.
"Any problems?" She shakes her head while he continued making his week's lunch. "No everything's been good, my daddy taking me to get a car. And I'm getting my hair done and my nails. Then my lashes and a full body wax. I'm going to try out for a local cheerleading team because the school has been great and all but I want to compete. And as you know school starts soon." He nods listening to her every word while she watches him walk around the kitchen. "That's good bae-"
"Is that my girlfriend Jennavieve?!" She giggles seeing his roommate Marco walk into the camera with a smirk. Marco was very handsome but she only wanted one person and plus he liked what she liked. He was with the girls. Omari rolls his eyes seeing her laugh at his silliness. "Don't play with me, in fact move." They laugh seeing him mush the boy out of the camera view.
"Can't be mad she want me."

"Hello is an Omari here?" The older man looked at the young girl who looked around with sunglasses on. He shook his head before carrying the big bag of concrete mix to the cart. "He been left, last time I checked he worked at Amazon." She sighed with a nod of defeat before thanking the man and leaving the store. Entering the car, both girls look seeing her groan in annoyance.
"He don't work here anymore, he said he work at the Amazon warehouse-"
"He said which department?" She shakes her head while the girl pulled off to her next destination.
"Go to his house."

"Leave it alone Wells. It's been months. I get it, but we have no more evidence. We give the parents our condolences once again and work on a new case. This case is closed." The older woman wiped her eyes before walking out of the office. She couldn't believe that. All the kids that lost their lives and for what? Someone's sick pleasure? Her daughter losing great friends and had to see their bodies in a grave, for nothing? She was upset, and there was no way she would just let it go like that. She was gonna get justice.
"Hi, come on in." The women both took off their shoes before entering the house. Handing the woman a bottle of wine, she smiles before leading them to the kitchen with the other adults. "Hello I'm Amber and this is my wife Evony." Everyone waves before inviting her over.
"He's been like that since he was a kid. I knew when that boy was 11 years old hitting half court shots that he would be a beast. He's quick too." They all nod as he read articles about his son coming to his new school. A lot of schools still offered him thousands of dollars and things just for his son. He was proud of him because he lived out his dream. He didn't get the chance but he was happy his son did.
"I saw him at a game once and saw that glass break!" Everyone laughed seeing her shake her head in disbelief. "I was like that boy is gonna go far in life. And it's great because he has backups. I want my daughter to think about what she wants. She says she wants to be a dancer but she needs a backup plan too." They all nod before exchanging how proud they were of their children.
"Imma pretend I didn't see this as Detective Wells but as Amber? Pass me that bong!" They all enter the shed in pure disbelief seeing everything they could imagine. Being an adult was tough and they needed a break. "This yours Tiara?" She shakes her head before passing the blunt to Tashae. "No, Mar used to have episodes so Los built him this shed so he could calm down. He would come in here and do whatever until he felt like coming out. We didn't bother him but when he left, I came and saw my stress relievers." Everyone chuckled as she took a sip from her wine. Carlos laid his head in her neck while she sat in his lap. "Call off tomorrow." She hummed softly as he kissed her neck. "Call off tomorrow, I'll pay for your day off. I'm taking you out." She nods with a smile before kissing his lips.
"Okay baby."
Walking slowly towards her wife, she stumbles drunkenly over a spot on the grass with a giggle. Tilting her head, her wife rolls her eyes seeing her just sitting on the ground. "Come on baby!" She burped before patting the spot on the grass that stood higher than the rest. "I'm coming baby."
"I can't possibly have everyone leave under the influence so you can take Omari's old room and the other couple can take the guest room. Good night! Come on baby." He followed behind the woman who quickly ran up the stairs. "Come take a shower with me?" His smile widened while his dimples grew. "You gonna pass out in there while you tipsy." She giggled before slowly taking off her shirt. "Lock the door."

"Thank you baby." He nodded while he typed on his computer as she walked safely into her mother's car. He sent her money to buy some things she needed and wanted. She got her skincare products, some snacks, some dinner, and her favorite drink from Starbucks. "You welcome mama."
"And she looked so beautiful bubba, I'm happy I can make people happy in their skin. Like I never seen someone in person with vitiligo and she had freckles and pretty silver hair." He smiled seeing her continue to wash up while they were still on call. "Really?" She nodded while she washed her body clean. "Yeah and I had to do two color matches but it was fine. And she gave me a huge tip and hug because other stores either didn't want to do their job or was very rude to her."
"Ouuu, turn around fa' me." She giggled while she turned around to show him her new dress. He bit his lips as she bent over and did a quick twerk. "See? Now I gotta show you what you did." She blushed seeing him set up the camera at his desk. He had his glasses on and his sweatpants which quickly were down at his ankles. "It's so big and pretty boo. I miss it." He bit his lips while she smiles. "He miss you too."
