Chapter Four.
Nathan’s POV
I stayed up all night, as usual. Needing only one hour of sleep can suck sometimes. Alex didn’t speak much after I send them all too bed. She only wished the other girls a good night and got into bed, but she was awake for hours after the girls finally fell asleep. I was in the kitchen paging through the phone book when the first off the boys woke up. The first thing he did was to come to the kitchen. The stupid thing was still half asleep when he opened the fridge without noticing me. Rolling my eyes I spoke up.
“Morning. If you are looking for food there is cereal bars in the cupboard to your right. You can eat that on your way home. Should I call a cab or will you think of something yourself?”
“Wow thanks for the hospitality. Don’t worry I won’t eat your cereal bars and I’ll walk home. Can I at least say goodbye to Alex?” He asked obviously he had a fright but did a damn good job not showing it. He’s still racing pulse the only sign of his fear.
“Oh you’re Austen. I kind of hoped that you were gone all ready. Oh well not everyone always get what they want. Pity actually.”
“What’s your case dude?” He cut me off. How rude. Tsk tsk.
“My case, if you don’t know, is in my room. It is about this big,” and I motioned with my hands to show him, “and is black with awesome red sculls on it. Would you like to see it? I think it could use one more skull on it. There is just about enough space for yours.” I said sarcastically hoping he would run away screaming.
“You’re sick you know that?” He asked ignoring my warning and took out the orange juice from the fridge and drank out the bottle.
“I would put that back if I were you.” I said hearing that Alex woke up and was now on her way to get her wake up juice which is by the way the orange juice. Alex does not share stuff. If she bought a full bottle of milk and I took one sip, she would not drink that milk ever again. You can throw it out in a glass; no problem there. The only way I can describe it is if I said she believed in cooties.
“Whatever.” He said and took another sip.
“What the hell do you think you are doing? Were you born in a cave? We have lots of glasses in this house. Don’t you know how to freggin use a glass!?” Alex yelled as soon as she stepped into the kitchen and saw him drinking her orange juice.
“Morning to you too sunshine.” He smiled and walked to her with a smile wanting to greet her properly.
“Morning my ass! You drank my orange juice! And out of the bottle as well and all you can say is morning? Not even an ‘I’ll buy you a new one.’?” She screamed and I felt the rest wake up from the sound of her screaming.
“Uhm sorry pumpkin.” He said looking at her sceptically. I almost ripped his throat open, but I guess that Alex would want to do that herself.
“Sorry my ass! Out of my house!” she yelled as she lost her temper.
“What about my stuff and I’m still in my pj’s!” He said hoping that she would come to her senses. Boy was she teed off.
“Dude, let me put it straight. If you are not out of this house in one minute. I will kick you out. That is if Alex does not beat me to it.” I said wondering what she saw in this idiot. He looked at me shocked and then back at Alex and at the crowd standing at the door trying to see what’s going on.
“Fine, I’ll go. I’ll call you tonight then Alex.” he said and walked past the others at the door.
Julia reached out to him and held his arm.” If you value your life, don’t call her.” She said before he shrugged her off, took his clothes and went out of the house in only a boxer.
