Chapter seven

When I said the night is going to be interesting I didn’t think that I would be on the most “not wanted” list at every club and that Nathan would get into an almost fight. I had fun, maybe too much, since my brother had to throw me over his shoulder and take me home. I wasn’t drunk or anything I promise.

**Flashback**

I sat at a table with my brother resting my elbows on the table and my head in my palms. Looking at him with a cute puppy dog face that only he can seem to resist.

“Pleeeease! It’ll be fun, I promise!” I begged Nathan for the millionth time that night.

“No, I know karaoke is fun, but you are not made for that kind of thing. Try beating someone in that dance tournaments they are doing on the dance floor.”

“I want to sing! Please put our table number up.”

“No, if you want you can do it yourself, but I’m not going to join you. I still want to keep my reputation here.”

“What reputation?” I said looking around me as if that would answer my question.

“Creepy guy of the week award.” He said in a quiet tone that would give another person the heebie jeebies.

“Seriously? Do they have these things here?” I asked not so sure of it.

“It’s a staff thing.” He said as if that would answer everything I want to know.  Sometimes I want to kill him for it.

“Whatever. Were do I put our name up?” I asked dropping the fact that he is a total freak.

“Your name. At the DJ.” He said as he gulped down another glass of Po10c.

“Awesome!” and I downed my glass as well. “See you soon.” And with that I made my way to a charming young man in front of very complicated gadgets to control the music.

“Heya. Where do I sign up for the karaoke?” I asked in the most confidence I could muster up. Even though I’m crazy doesn’t mean I like talking to strangers.

“Right here. Just write down your name, table number and your cell phone number here.” He said pushing his hand toward me with a flirtatious look on his face. I don’t know much about the ‘grown up’ world but I can be sure that means he’s interested in me.

I dared a glance at my brother and he looked cautious and jumpy. I looked away when he noticed I looked at him and wrote down my name and our table number. I look back at Nathan to see something like anger on his face that grew by the moment. I smirked and wrote down my brother’s number with a heart on either side in the middle of his palm. I winked at him and made my way back to our table walking in, what I hope was, a sexy walk. By the shocked and slightly impressed look on Nathan’s face I could tell it was.

“Don’t walk like that again. Ninety percent of the men here are staring at you and all the women here look ready to kill you.” Nathan scolded me as I sat down on the other side of the table.

“Oh come on. Don’t deny a young girl some fun. You can be glad I don’t come often.” I said rolling my eyes and took a sip from a drink that he had ordered while I was away.

Nathan suddenly frowned and pulled out his cell phone. It looks like he received a text. I think I know who it is. I turned around and glanced at the DJ and he winked at me. I wander what he said.

“What the hell is this?” Nathan shouted/whispered at the top of his lungs. He looked nervous and worried. Why would he be worried?
