A New Proposition

Jung Hana has grown up a lot since she first joined the SM building. She was twelve years old, in her first year of middle school when she started training. It was difficult. She was required to dance, sing, and even rap. The only saving she had was her soft voice. Her earliest memories were often filled with pain, and angst over leaving her parents' house.

But she wasn't alone. Beside her was another girl who was the same age. Kim Boah, the girl with a jack of all trades of talent, the girl who was put under extreme training. She became her best friend and through their friendship Hana has adjusted to her new life. She befriended Jang Nara, Jiyeon, Junsu, and even Kwon Jiyong.

But the dynamic changed after Boah debuted into a bonafide star. Soon she found herself struggling to keep up with her pace. Jealousy was her emotion and that grew with time. Now they barely consider each other friends.

Boah has now become her main rival.

Jung Hana has grown in the past three years. Now fifteen years old, puberty has allowed her blossom in just about two years. Aside from her growth spurt was her physical changes. She was slender like Boa, but possessed a fuller figure. She also had a slightly larger bust than her rival and was much taller, standing around 167 centimeters. She later explained is due to her family's genetics as her mother was tall.

The one area she still felt insecure was her large nose. Through her modeling career she learned to mask that flaw by adding blushes to blend in the background. She prided herself in being the main poster girl of SM.

In other words, she has the advantage in visuals.

"That was such a drag today I'm glad oppa was a little easier on us today." Hana said changing her clothes.

"I think he was focused on you unnie. You saw those eyes." Said a female trainee.

"What do you think of Kangho oppa? It's said he even trained with Shinhwa themselves, but because of his grades he was disqualified." The other girls said.

"Oppa needs to take work seriously. It's not fair he takes his frustrations on us like ~hello!!" She's brushed her hair.

"I like how your hair color unnie. Hazelnut is totally in style! I've been begging my eomma to take me to the salon to dye my hair. You're so lucky you're an ulzzang.

"It's not as easy you think. You have the know the right angle, makeup, and style to get in. I learned it all from trial and error." She applied a bit of lip gloss.

"You should've been an idol too girlie like come on?" The trainee embraced Hana affectionately.

"Hajima you're ruining my makeup!" Hana cried out.

"Well if isn't the pig nose herself. Are you done socializing with your little group?" Another female trainee said.

"Seo Hyunjin... What are you doing here unnie?" Hana said with displeased expression.

"Me? I am simply getting ready but as usual your foolish lot is stinking up the room. Take a shower." Hyunjin taunted.

"Looks like somebody's jealous I've got oppa's attention. If you could be a little more honest than he would notice. Oppa doesn't like bimbos." Hana teased.

"What was that pig face!?"

"You heard me bimbo! You think copying my hairstyle is gonna get you brownie points? Find your own style!" She growled.

"At least I look prettier in it. Don't forget I'm also an ulzzang. Know your place. You're only the sister of one of the hottest oppas on the company. Imagine if he saw me around."
