Summer Vacation

June 2002

The SM family took another annual vacation.

"We're finally here!!" Eugene declared.

"Do you need to be that loud?" Bada sweat dropped.

"I'll see you unnies later. I'm going to sleep." Shoo plopped a bench for her to relax.

"Oh yeah the Black Beat posse is finally going places. Let's go!!" Leader Jinyoung declared.

"Slow down homie we just got here. Let's play a bit of volleyball." Said Jaewon.

"Anything to pass the time." Said Somin.

"I'll serve be ready to get punked." Sanghoon boasted.

Black Beat debuted just recently, meant to accompany Shinhwa as their younger more Hip Hop oriented juniors.

While the Black Beat posse played a game of volleyball, Isak and Jiyeon went for a nice swim.

"Unnie you're splashing too much water." Isak complained.

She was German from her father's side and Korean on her mother's. Despite the mixture she was raised in the United States and therefore, American by nationality.

"Mianhe. Haven't been in the water for ages. There's plenty of water for everyone." Jiyeon said splashing water at her.

"Hana."

"Boah."

Boa and Hana stared at each other in a confrontational manner. The two former friends became bigger rivals after Hana's own debut. Hana flaunted her looks at every opportunity. Boah herself felt a small tinge of envy at her friend's recent success. She may not be a superstar, but she was well on her way.

Hyunjin and the girls wisely stayed away from their beef. Hyunjin grit her teeth at their popularity. It seemed no matter what she could never catch up to the other two girls.

"One day I'll be bigger than any of you can imagine." Hyunjin sneered.

The Shinhwa simply relaxed as the waited for the chaos to end.

"Congratulations on our special boy for debuting. You've come a long way from that kid we met." Heejun patted his head.

"Gomawo hyung. I'm happy the both of you are still thriving." Jihoon said.

"We're taking one at a time. I knew you were meant to be a star." Kangta nodded.

"Hopefully I get a chance to debut solo." Hwanhee said with a hint of jealousy.

"You'll get your chance. I'm taking this off I'm hot." Brian took off his shirt exposing his abs. Boah, Hana, Dana, and the Milk girls collectively blushed.

"Why does this happen every time I swear he does this on purpose." Eric shook his head.

"We need to be like him honestly." Minwoo said.

"I can dig that." Junjin nodded.

"Maybe." Dongwan said.
