I woke up once again to my phone ringing. Camilla.

"Mmh?"

'Where are you guys, I got back this morning?'

"Dantes."

'Come back home with Nate and Caleb.'

I hang up.

"Nathan!" I yell, also waking Caleb up in the process.

He comes down running after a few seconds. "What? You made it sound like you're dying." He groans.

"Let's go home, there's a surprise for you guys there." I say with a smile.

"Suprise!?" They say at the same time and I nod and they start rushing towards the door.

We gt to my apartment to find my mom in the kitchen, drinking a coke.

She's dressed up nice, I'm not going to whatever she's planning.

Her face lights up when she sees Nate and Caleb as they run up to hug her.

"Auntie!"

They have their little reunion as I get a coke from the fridge.

I almost choke on it when a tall dark-skinned man walks into the kitchen in a casual outfit.

He's out.

I jump off the counter and run to hug him. He chuckles hugging me back.

"Dad!" I squeal hugging him tighter.

I missed my dad so much.

But he never learns from his lessons, going around doing gangster shit out of boredom. He's so cool.

I remember this one time he came to a parent-teacher meeting cause Sage slapped some random boy and he literally threatened the teacher to never call him again if Sage and I ever beat someone up again or he'd do some shit again.

He and my mom broke up when we were 2, I guess they're back together now.

He was devastated when Sage died, he still is.

I let him go and Nathan and Caleb run to hug him. Everyone loves Tyrique.

He may be a gangster but he has boundaries to his shit, he knows to never kids involved, Sage and I found out when we we're 10.

Nate is 13 and he still doesn't know, most people don't.

After the little reunion my mom speaks.

"Ivy we're taking the kids to Disneyland, we'll be back on Monday."

"Aight cool." I love how she acknowledges the fact that I don't like Disneyland to this day.

"Cool." I reply.

I go to their room and pack them some clothes before going back out.

They all eat before leaving, back to freedom. I'm lying, I'm writing another test on Monday, math.

I get an energy drink from the fridge and go back to my room.

It's 3pm, 2 hours of studying.

****

I fucking hate math.

What happened to the numbers? Now it's like I'm writing a complicated English essay.

Fuck my life.

I understand it though.

I haven't been on my phone since Camilla called me. I miss it.
