Hyunjin    Minho

Hyunjin held onto the banister as he walked down the stairs, stopping at the last four steps. He presses a hand against his bump, trying to control his breathing. At 34 weeks, Hyunjin could no longer breath properly, causing him to pant and attempt to control his breathing.

Minho walks behind Hyunjin "Are you okay?" He wrapped his arms around Hyunjin's belly, giving it a slight scratch.
"I am fine. It feels as I cannot breath properly. These babies are pushing on all organs and stretching my skin to carry them."
"Do you need the humidifier again?" He offered.
Hyunjin nodded "Yes please. With ice in it."
"Absolutely. Here, let me help you to the couch baby."
"I will be okay. No thank you."
Hyunjin holds on the banister again and continues to walk down the stairs. He knew Minho was watching him until he sat down on the couch.

Hyunjin sits on the couch with his hands laying atop of his belly. He takes in a breath but falters as he experiences a twinge of pain "Ooh ooh." He breathed out "What are you doing babies? That hurts."
Minho joined Hyunjin in the living room "Here is the humidifier. I also got you water." He holds up the water bottle.
"Thank you. Will you come sit with me? I am not feeling very well."
"Oh no, yes, of course. Come here. Lay down on my lap."
Minho sat on the couch with his legs stretched outwards to rest on the ottoman. Hyunjin lays down on the pillow situated on his lap.
"Take a little nap. When you wake I will start lunch."
"Fried chicken?" Hyunjin hoped.
"Fried chicken." Minho confirms.
"Yay." Hyunjin cheered "I will sleep well knowing that I get to eat your fried chicken."

Hyunjin dreamt that he saw his babies faces: as partners they decided to not know the genders of their twins.
He was overlooking the babies, he birthed one of each.

As he woke, he rose to a sitting position "What is happening?"
"The babies. I had a dream." Hyunjin tells.
"Are the babies okay?" Minho questioned.
"We are having one of each. A daughter and a son. Are you happy?"
"Incredibly happy." Minho replied.

Hyunjin laid back down against Minho, who again, began rubbing his bump "Have we agreed with their names? Joon-soo and Sun-hee?"
"We are in agreement with their names." Hyunjin agreed.
Minho kissed Hyunjins neck "I am having cramps, I think that is what they are."
"Are they contractions?"
Hyunjin pushes himself off of Minho "Is that why I had the dream about our babies?"
"I hope that to be true." Minho responded. "I think you should rest before we go to the maternity wing."
Hyunjin yawned "I think that you are right."
"Lay down. I will collect your hospital bag. Take as much time as you need. I will be collecting our hospital bags." 

Minho called the hospital to explain that they will be coming in within the next two hours. Closing the car door Minho notices the two car seats in the backseat. He pictured the newborns in their car seats.

Minho opens the front door to see Hyunjin standing at the banister with a hand clasped on the banister and his other hand resting on the bottom of his belly "Oh good, oh Minho."
"Alright. It is time to go. Come on. Do you need my assistance?"
"No, no, it is time to go."

Hyunjin sits in the backseats of their car with Minho checking on him at every red light through the rear  view mirror "Stop peeping at me. Focus on driving Minho." Hyunjin instructed.
Minho looked back at the road and smirked.

Minho wheeled Hyunjin into the hospital "Hello, I called earlier. This is Hwang Hyunjin and I am Minho."
"Oh yes of course. Your room is waiting for you."

Minho walks behind Hyunjin in the hospital room. His hands were linked together underneath Hyunjins bump as Hyunjin keeps his hands together on the top of his bump. He hunches forward to groan "Ooh."
"Breathe, keep breathing. Keep breathing Hyunjin."
"That is all I have been doing! I can breathe."
"I know you are." Minho encourages. "Would you like to get back into the bed? So you can rest more?"
Hyunjin agrees.
He waddled to the bed, laying back into the bed. Hyunjin rolled over to his right side where his eyes closed and face contorted into pain "I'm going to call a nurse."
"Please Minho." Hyunjin agreed.

"Hello Hyunjin. I think you are getting closer."
"I think so too. Please check. Do something. My pain nnh-" He withered then groaned again.
The nurse pats Hyunjins feet "It is time. I will notify the doctor. We will be back shortly."
She exits the room.
Minho kisses Hyunjins forehead "You can do this. You are in control of this. I love you." He lowers himself down to Hyunjins bump "Hi babies, within the hour I could meet you. Both of you. Joon-soo and Sun-hee, I will hold you soon."
"Are we ready for this change? We will be parents."
"We are ready for these new changes. We got this."

Minho dabs Hyunjins forehead then his neck "More ice chips?"
Hyunjin shakes his head and shoves Minho's hand away "No,no more of those damn chips!"
"Good job Hyunjin. Do not push just yet. You will start to tear. Pant. Pant."
Minho panted along with Hyunjin.
"Pant, pant."
Hyunjin continued to pant, then groaned "I need to change positions. Please."
Hyunjin rolled to his side "Help me to my knees."
Minho pulls Hyunjin to his knees "Is this better?" Minho whispers.
Hyunjin arched his back then groaned. His hands fisted into balls and clenched the bedsheets "Surprisingly, yes, it is. Oh god, oh no. Can I push now? These babies are..ooh."
"Push Hyunjin, push! Push!"
Minho extended his hand to Hyunjin's back who curls into the familiar touch, they count back from 10 together.
"And breath. Keep breathing. Now again Hyunjin."
Minho dabs the cloth against Hyunjin's neck "Is this better?" He whispers.
Hyunjin nodded "Thank you."
"And again, push with all of your power Hyunjin! You got this!"
Hyunjin closed his eyes and pushed once again.

"It is a girl. Do you want to see dad?"
"Don't fucking leave me Lee Know." Hyunjin threatened. "This second baby will be-" Hyunjin panted again "He is coming. I can feel him."
Minho rubs Hyunjin's back again, stopping when he moans in response "Right there?"
"Mmh..hmmh." Hyunjin moaned.
"One more push Hyunjin then baby boy will have been born too. Are you ready?"
Hyunjin, in response pushed again "He is never coming!" He cried. Minho kisses Hyunjin's neck "He is, he will be."

"And a boy!"

Minho wrapped his arms around Hyunjin's waist giving it a soft squeeze "Look what you did."
"Yay." Hyunjin faked "I want to meet them. Where are my babies?"
Minho assists Hyunjin to lay on his back in the bed "Have some water." He holds the straw for him. Hyunjin accepts the water, suddenly remembering how thirsty he was.

He dreamt of this day, the entire 34 weeks. Whose smile will they inherit? Will they be serious like Minho, or will the house be filled with laughter? Hyunjin knew that they were going to beautiful, his husband is Minho.

"Both babies are healthy."
"Both healthy?" Hyunjin repeated "I.." he covers his face as he cried.
Minho kisses his forehead as he hugs him once more "Can I meet them?" Hyunjin asks.
"Of course. Oh, here they are."

Hyunjin watches from the bed as two bassinets were wheeled to them. One had a pink trim as the other had a blue trim around the bassinets.
In front of the bassinets were laminated name plates: 'Hi, my name is Hwang Sun-hee, and my dads are Hyunjin and Minho.' The other bassinet mirrored his sisters 'Hi, my name is Joon-soo, and my dads are Hyunjin and Minho.'

Minho sits in the chair next to Hyunjin "Who do you want to meet first?" Hyunjin asks.
"Both, both babies."
Hyunjin nodded while laughing.
The nurse placed both newborns in Minhos arms "Hi, I am your dad. We will always be friends. I love you too."
Hyunjin smiled watching his husband interact with their newborns.

Their life was good.
