As (y/n) drops to the ground Piper catches her when I make no move to do so. Instead I move towards Hamish as he breathes in deeply, creating a great whooping noise.
"No!" Hamish gasps as he sits straight up.

"Calm down Hamish. You're okay buddy. We got (y/n) out of that place." I say calming him down. Hamish takes one look at (y/n)'s body before hugging me tightly. I'm rigged at first but I slowly warm into his embrace.

Being in that position of losing your sister once is bad enough without knowing that you died on top of that.
"N-Nico, why didn't you catch her?" Hamish asks through tears before falling asleep.

I scoop Hamish up and whisper into his ear.
"Because she ordered me at sword point not to." I stand up and Blake picks (y/n) up before we head back to the ship.

"Is she alright? Where's Hamish?" Hazel asks Piper and she silently motions to the boy snuggled up in my arms. Hazel stands there, mouth agape and I feel the edges of my mouth lift into a smile.

"Okay, who are you and what have you done with Nico?" Percy asks and I glare at him darkly causing him to smile before Annabeth hits him.
"Seaweed Brain! Let him smile for a while. It's not an everyday occurence you stupid boy." Annabeth fumes.

"He deserves to smile. He just saved two lives." A woman says and we all jump a mile. I whirl around and nod at the goddess before us.
"Hecate, we failed on finding the goddess-" Hazel begins and Hecate shakes her head.

"(y/n) is a goddess nearly as old as the twins. She has always done her job but Zeus fears her immensely. You see Zues isn't (y/n)'s real father you see, her father was and is a mere mortal man. (y/n) got her status when she killed her father at the age of two." Hecate explains and Annabeth nods.

"I knew she wasn't a sister to Jason. She looks nothing like either of Zeus's kids." Percy blurts before Annabeth wallops him one.
"You all know how to save her. Once she is placed on her deathbed you have two hours of time with her before Zeus refreezes her until he needs her next." Hecate says before going to leave.

"Hecate, wait. Who's her protector?" A voice says and I look down at Hamish. With the new blue tinge to his eyes, his eyes look like murky sunlit water.
"They know who they are. It all depends upon whether they'll admit it." Hecate says, leaving behind nine bedazzled demi-gods, one guilty one and one unconscious one.
