Your P.O.V Chapter 24

"Dunno if you can here me but I just wanted to say that I wish I could set you free. I've been watching over you ever since Bianca died and you...you were the only reason I didn't entirely leave camp."

"All I wanted was for you to be safe. I was the one who brought you to camp on the first day and I asked for no one to tell you. I just hope you get what you want. I...just want to free you."

These words ring in my ears as I inhale deeply. How am I awake? I sit up slowly and open my eyes to see someone walking away from me.
"Wait!" I manage to blurt out before I fall off of whatever I'm on.

Good going. Make a fool of yourself why don't you?
"(y-y/n)?" The person asks and I realize Nico is kneeling down at eye level with me. Then I realize Nico was the one speaking to me.

"Y-you're my protector?" I stutter out, realising that if he is he was one of the reasons both prophecies were connected.
"Yeah." Nico says blushing and scratching the back of his neck.

I hug him tightly and when I let go I blink.
"Woah, your eyes are tinged a blue-ish green or something." I say staring in shock.
"That reminds me. You need to see someone else." Nico says grabbing my hand and helping me stand.

"Slow down. I don't gain immortality everyday." I mutter sourly, making Nico laugh.
"Guys, (y/n)'s awake!" Nico says excitedly. My heart cracks as I see everyone but Hamish and tears well up in my eyes.

Then someone hugs me around the waist and I hug them back.
"Hamish!" I exclaim happily, glad to have my brother back.
"We nearly lost you sis." Blake says and a familiar girl walks up to me.

Looking at her I realize why. This was the girl I pictured as Thalia Grace. My half sister. My only sister.
"Are you Thalia?" I ask quietly and she nods before opening my hands and pressing something into it.

"It goes from female child to child. Since I'll never have a daughter I'll give it to my sister. I've gotta go now." The girl says, walking off without a word.
"Oookay than." I mutter as I open my hand.

A small ring with a single electric blue jem rests on my palm and I slip it onto my pinkie finger.
"So (y/n), now that you're awake, what will you do?" Nico asks and I grin widely.

Focusing really hard I send my immortality to the gods and my attire changes. I'm wearing a pair of jeans and a singlet. I shiver from the cold and I can feel this slightly burning sensation on my left wrist.

"Holy Hera!" I exclaim as I take in the intricate, delicate blue swirls that now and forever adorn my wrist. I look up and everyone has some weird mark.

Annabeth, Hazel and Piper have blue streaks through their hair, Percy, Jason, and Blake have what looks like a skin anklet, Frank, Leo and Hamish have blueish tinges to their eyes. I try spotting anything different about Nico but...no, there's nothing whatsoever.

"Weird." I here someone mutter before they all begin talking. I smile gently before sneaking from the room. I come out from a concealed entrance at the base of Zeus' fist and I stare at the starlit sky.

"Leaving so soon?" Someone asks and I let out a feebled squeak. Someone chuckles and I recognise the sound of it.
"Yeah. To crowded down there. You?" I ask turning to the mocha eyed boy.

"I came to find you. Listen- I, umm...kinda maybe......"His sentence drops off and I smile at his slight blush.
"What did you want?" I ask tilting my head.

"To do this." He says and before I can process my thoughts I feel two soft lips gently pressed against mine in a sweet kiss. I feel as if the uncalmable butterflies in my stomach have erupted into fireworks.

We pull away and rest our foreheads against each other. His hand strokes my cheek, causing me to blush.
"(y/n), open your eyes. Please." He asks and they fly open in shock.

Since when did I close my eyes?
"(y/n), will you go out with me?" He asks and I freeze. Everything slows down and my breath hitches.
"Crap!" I blurt out and then I face palm.

Slowly I pry my fingers from my eyes and nod my head ever so slightly.
"Y-yes N-nico. I will go out with you." I state firmly before I wrap my arms around his neck.

Nico blushes as I give him a quick peck on the lips.
"Thank the gods. I thought you were gonna say no."
"I would never say no Nico. Not in my before lives and not in any of my future lives." Then I sweetly kiss him on the lips, sealing my promise.
