Valentine's Day

~TWENTY TWO~

Its been about 5ish days since Garnet put Steven back into his gem. I've been just laying around in Steven house.

"i hope you come out today" i said lifting his gem above me. i sighed and hugged it.

"Connie? is everything alright?" Pearl said walking up the steps

"Oh hi Pearl" i sat up "I'm fine, i guess"

"what do you mean"

I brought Steven's gem out "I mean i just want him back, i hate not waking up next to him or not seeing him, i want to hear his voice, his laugh, i just.." i sighed and rubbed the part if the bed where he usually sleeps

"Well don't you leave him alot? like when you said you needed space? you didn't see him for awhile after that...don't you think he missed you too...."

I started to blush and my eyes widened in shock, then I started to tear up, but blinked the tear away and started getting angry

"It's NOT the same, when I'm mad i still miss him! its just, how relationships work i guess"

"really?! I don't understand your guy's relationship at all, it doesn't make any sense to me haha, well goodbye Connie"

she got up and left

"what was the point of that?" i said to myself

I decided to take a walk and get some air, i brought Steven's gem with me because it just felt  right, i guess.

During my walk, my pocket started to vibrate.

"huh?"

i took his gem out of my pocket and it started to glow

"wh-what's happening!"

it lifted its' self into the air and something started to form.

i just stared in aw with stars in my eyes as i saw Steven appear and float back to the ground.

"S-Steven!!!!"

"Connie!!"

___Steven's p.o.v__((because its easier writing this way xD))

We ran towards each other and i picked her up and twirled her

i put her down and she tackled me with a HUGE hug

"I've missed you so much!!" she said

"hahaha I've missed you much more than you think!!" i said with tears in my eyes

"please, don't ever leave me again" she said softly whipping my tears away

"i swear i wont"

"oh! By the way, i thought you were supposed to change when you came back..? you barley look any different" she said laughing

"Hey!" i said with a slight blush " i got a little taller! I can look you directly in the eye! and look at these muscles" i flexed my arm and when i looked at her  she was trying to hold back from laughing.

i just smiled at her and walked over to beach and flopped in the sand. she walked over and sat next to me and then laid her head on me.

we laid in the sand with her on my arm, we were in silence for a while until Connie started crying

"wh-what's wrong?"

"i was just thinking" she said whipping her tears and sat  up

"about....?"

she sighed "about you basically dieing in my arms, but i was also thinking that means if i die, you wont GET to see me again, be-because i don't have a gem and i cant regenerate, im-im just a human, nothing special."

i sat up next to to her and pulled her in for a hug, after that she started crying even harder

"Connie, please d-don't  think like that, you are super special, because your my human" i started blushing Because i just realized how corny that was

she looked up at me with her eyes twinkling i started blushing even harder, because its been a while since i saw them.

she chuckled

"you mean it"

"yea" i said kissing her forehead

"Hey we should tell the gems your back!" Connie suggested whipping her face

"I don't want to"

"Why not?"

I decided to go in serious Steven mode

"Because first of all garnet 'technically' killed me, pearl...is jus pearl and with amethyst I'm not ready to be made fun of"

Then i grabbed connie's hands and looked up into her eyes

"And I'm not ready to have the moment of just to two of us being together again end"

Her eyes started to sparkle and i know mine did too, i also started blushing.

She started doing her cute laugh, and it was EXTRA cute this time, so i just blushed even harder.

I don't know what came over me but i just wanted to tickle her...it was weird but i enjoyed it

He were having an amazing time. I tired her out and she was just laying in the sand looking up at the sky. Then i rolled her over on top of her propping myself up like i was doing a pushup.

"Haha Steven what are you doing"

"Aren't i better to look at than the stars hahah"

"Haha sure"

I smiled and leaned into kiss her

"I love you Steven"

"I love you more connie"

She smiled

"Not possible"

I laughed and poked her nose

"Thats my thing"

I flopped back over on the sand and just stared into the sky.

"Lets go inside now I'm tireeedd" connie said yawning

"Finnnnnnnne, but can we please avoid the gems, im really NOT in the mood"

"I know" she says with a small laugh and kissed me on the nose

She grabbed my hand and basically dragged me inside and back up to my room

"Man, i missed this bed"

"I missed you, sleeping in it with me" connie said under her breath, but i heard it

I blushed and smiled a flopped on it.

"It feels so great to be home!!"

She smiled and sat next to me

"Steven, I've been wondering did the stuff i set around your gem help at all?"

"Actually yea to be honest, thank you by the way, and the cookie cat was a nice touch" i said laughing 

I leaned over and kissed her cheek

"Im going to bed now, night Steven"

I smiled

"Night connie"

I closed my eyes and eventually dosed off

Man, its great to be back

((Alrighty! The next chapter would be up as soon as i can today bur heres the first chapter of today! But after today its going back to one chapt every other day xD ! Anyway hope you enjoyed!!))
