Fatima's POV
I knew it was coming, but seeing it with my own eyes made my blood boil.
Sabrina had doubled down on her bullshit.
Another post, another dramatic story, this time with a new angle—painting herself as the poor, abandoned mother while Zac and I plotted to make it look like she had never been around.
Sabrina's Post:
"They've been trying to push me out of Kolby's life for months, and now I see why. It was never just about custody—it was about making it look like I abandoned her so they can play 'perfect little family' with their new baby. It breaks my heart knowing that my daughter is being used as a pawn in their twisted version of a happy home. I've fought to be in Kolby's life, and I will never stop fighting for her. No matter what narrative they try to create, the truth will come out. A mother's love is irreplaceable. 💔"
I exhaled slowly, staring at my phone like it might explode in my hands.
"She really wants to go there," I muttered.
Zac, who was driving, glanced over at me. "What now?"
I turned my phone toward him so he could see for himself. His eyes skimmed the post, and I saw his whole body tense up.
"Oh, she's lost her damn mind," he muttered, gripping the steering wheel so tight I thought it might snap.
Before either of us could react, my phone started ringing. Again.
Angela.
I let out a sharp breath before answering. "I know why you're calling, and trust me, I've seen it."
Angela let out a deep sigh. "Girl, I just... I don't even have words. She's really trying to make you and Zac look like the villains in all this."
I rubbed my temple. "I know. And people are eating it up."
Angela scoffed. "Of course they are. People love a sob story, even when it's complete bullshit. But listen—I wanted to call you personally before I even comment on any of this. And also? Congratulations, mama."
I felt myself soften just a little. "Thanks, Ang."
"Girl, I know this isn't how you wanted people to find out, but don't let her take this moment away from you," she said firmly. "You're having a baby. And that's something to be happy about."
I smiled slightly. "I know. It's just hard to enjoy it with all this mess happening."
Angela clicked her tongue. "Let Zac handle her. You just focus on keeping yourself stress-free, okay?"
I sighed. "Easier said than done."
She laughed. "I know, girl. But still—try."
After hanging up, I barely had time to process before another call came in.
Gabrielle.
I glanced at Zac, who already knew what was coming.
I answered, and immediately, she was in manager mode.
"Fatima," she started, her voice clipped. "I need to know right now—are you and Zac actually having a baby?"
I sighed. "Yes, Gabrielle. We're having a baby."
Silence.
Then, a heavy sigh. "Jesus Christ, Zac."
I glanced at him, but he was staring at the road, very aware that he was in trouble.
Gab continued. "I'm gonna have to clean so much of this up. The way Sabrina's spinning this? People are already talking about how this was all planned to make her look like an unfit mother."
