"Hi my love. I got you some things."
From my back, I gave him the basket.
Bandanas, toy cars, key chains with his names on it, and tons of snacks.
"I love you baby and you deserve to stay happy." He reached over and hugged me.
Most of his bandages were okay to stay off so it was easier to embrace him.
"And look."
I walked outside to get the frame.
"Baby. I love you so much Shawn."
He was so happy I could see it in his eyes, tears streaming. I thank myself for making him this happy in a while.
"It means a lot to me."
"I know you love photos but I have a song too, my love."
He hugged the stuffed animal while admiring the collage laid on his thighs.
" If you come with me, promise you'll never bleed. Let me be the one. I'll be the one you want. You'll never want to see me go. "
I sang my heart out, until there was a machine beeping sound.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
"I'm too happy Shawn."
His eyes shut.
"I love you Taylor."
"I love you Shawn."
The line went flat.
