As I approached Karan and Koel, I could see the desperation in their eyes. Karan was frantically searching the room, while Koel was examining the walls.
"What's going on?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
"I think there's a hidden door or something," Karan said, his eyes scanning the room. "I saw Aneesh staring at this wall earlier, and I think he might have seen something."
I followed Karan's gaze to the wall, and that's when I noticed it - a small, almost imperceptible seam in the wall.
"Guys, I think I found it," I said, my heart racing with excitement.
Koel and Karan rushed to my side, and together, we examined the seam. It was a small, hidden door, expertly concealed in the wall.
"This must be it," Karan said, his eyes shining with determination. "This must be the way out."
But as we turned to leave, I caught sight of Aneesh, still standing by the pool, his eyes fixed on Sid's lifeless body. There was something unsettling about his expression, something that made me feel uneasy.
"Guys, wait," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "we have to take Aneesh with us"
Karan and Koel exchanged a skeptical glance, but I knew I had to convince them. Something about Aneesh's behavior didn't add up, and I had a feeling that he might hold the key to our survival.
"Come on, guys," I said, my eyes locked on Aneesh. "Let's go talk to him."
And with that, we began to walk towards Aneesh, our hearts pounding with anticipation and fear. What would we find out? Would Aneesh reveal some hidden truth, or would he lead us further into danger?
The uncertainty was suffocating, but we had to keep moving forward. We had to uncover the truth, no matter how terrifying it might be.
As we approached Aneesh, I could feel the tension building up inside me. Karan and Koel seemed hesitant, but I knew we had to confront him.
"Aneesh, what's going on?" I asked, trying to keep my voice firm.
Aneesh slowly turned around, his eyes locking onto mine. For a moment, I felt like I was staring into the abyss.
"I'm just waiting for Varun," Aneesh said, his voice devoid of emotion.
"Waiting for Varun?" Karan repeated, his brow furrowed. "What do you mean?"
Aneesh shrugged. "I just am."
I exchanged a skeptical glance with Karan and Koel. Something wasn't right.
"Aneesh, we need to talk about what's going on," I said, taking a step closer to him. "We need to know what's happening in this place."
Aneesh's expression didn't change, but I sensed a flicker of something in his eyes.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Aneesh said, his voice dripping with innocence.
But I knew he was lying. I could see it in his eyes.
Suddenly, Varun emerged from the hole, his face pale and his eyes wide with fear.
"Guys, I found something," Varun said, his voice shaking. "Something that will change everything."
We all turned to Varun, our hearts racing with anticipation. What had he found?
But before Varun could reveal the truth, the lights in the room began to flicker, and a loud, ominous voice boomed from the speakers.
"Time's running out," the voice said. "You have 30 minutes to complete the next task. Failure is not an option."
The voice faded away, leaving us staring at each other in horror. What did we have to do next?
And then, I saw it. A small, hidden screen on the wall, displaying a message in bold, red letters:
"TASK 3: THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE"
My heart sank. It was written with blood.. What did it mean?
________
What do u think? What's the next task...
