The Other World

-Chapter 8-

Mia's POV.
So here we are in a quart yard training, and let me just say... It's killing me! Nina is coaching us to unlock our natural abilities. Fire, water, earth, air.

Now she has me and Spencer running around the track so far we did 5miles... None stop! And the boys have been lifting weights and they started 4 hours before us and hasn't stopped yet. She is out for a death Warrant.

"Come on! You all can do better than that! My baby cousin can run faster than that! Pick it up!" She says yelling to us as we pass by her. Okay that's it, I can't take this anymore.

"Nina I'm done with the running! Can we do something else for goodness sakes!" I yell at her as I walk up to her. "I'm tired, and I need water." I say, looking for something to drink.

" you want water? Make it" she says crossing her arms. " I can't just-" I got cut off  "do it,"  i roll my eyes, "I can't it's just that-" I got cut off again "DO. IT!" My eyes widen in anger. "JUST STOP! I  TOLD YOU I CAN'T!" I say shaking my hand vicariously, and by shock it started raining. I look up staring in shock.

"I knew you could" Nina smiles then turns to the field, "okay we can stop! At least one of you can work your powers!" We're done? Finally! I can spend time with Conner! And; of course the others.

And she walk into the girls locker room me and my sister take our showers and get changed. As do the boys.
"sis how did you make it rain? It's still raining... And hard" she says looking out the window of the locker room hall. " I honestly don't know.. And I don't know how to stop it." I answer her. 'We should go get mom and dad to make it stop or have them teach us or something...' Spencer mind speaks to me. ' yeah your right''. We run outside to see the boys slowly walking out of there locker room. " hey where are you two going?" I respond with mind speak, ' no time, get inside, the rain I created is out of wack!' Once me and Spencer make it to the gym we continue to run to our parents, which me have no clue were they are.

" we're are they?" Spencer says, " sorry I meant to say that in my head then mindspeak to them." She cleared up. " there in the speech room."

Once were there they look up from us from what ever it is they were doing with a surprised look on there face.

" what's wrong honey? You look both look panicked... And out of breath?" Our mom says walking over to us. " I got my water power to work and.. And it started raining, hard and I don't know how to make it stop it's starting to flood!" They look at us and start laughing... Laughing!

" why are you laughing?" I ask now embarrassed, out of anything they had to laugh.

"Darling, how.. exactly did you... start it?"  My mom say in between laughs. " well I was mad during training and was starting to tell Nina off and then I just was about to walk off but it started raining." Mom look at me then went to the window and motioned for me to follow. I walked over as pleased. " okay reverse what you did when you were mad by happiness. Make the sun shine." She says smiling at me.

I look at the rain racing on the window. I think about how I actually did make it rain when I was mad. I wanted water. But I already had happiness so... Fire? It drys up water which is obvious. But how so I make the sun come out?

"Try any way you think will work" my mom nudge me.
I look up at really sky and think about light and warmth. I bring my hands up above my head as if opening curtains for the sun to shine through only instead of curtains, clouds. And it did.
I smile and look over to my mom who is smiling back at me.

"See? Everyone thinks to hard of making magic happen when you can just.. Do it. We're sorry for laughing it was just that we thought you would have knew." she says walking back to her seat. "Oh okay, thanks mom I'm going to go Hang out with my friends and Spencer." She nods, " okay darling see you later." Then I walk out and my sister follows, she looks dazed.
