Angelica's pov

I was scrolling through Instagram, when I heard a knock.

I opened the door, and instantly regretted it, after I saw Michael standing there.

"Hey," He said, shivering, because it was so cold outside.

I let him in before asking, "What are you doing here?"

"I came to talk to you," He said.

"No shit," I mumbled.

"Hey, I didn't come for your sass," He said.

"I know, I'm sorry,"  I apologized.

He, then, got straight to the point, "So what happened with Luke?"

I shrugged, "I only did it to make him happy".

"I'm gonna tell you one thing. He is not happy.  All he does in lie in bed, crying over you. He is lost without you," Michael tells me.

"He'll see why I did this later," I say, tilting my head back, causing the tears that threatened to slip out, go back in.

"Michael, you're just gonna make me cry, so. please, leave," I said.

"Okay, but we're not done talking" he said, frowning.

I waited for him to drive away, before deciding to take a walk.

As I checked the time, the tears that threatened to spill earlier, slipped, when I saw my phone background, which was a picture Luke and I took on our first date.

I will never change that background.

I was about a mile away from my house, when it started pouring.

"Shit," I mumbled, before turning around, to head home.

I ran, to get home quickly, but it was no use because I was already soaked.

I kept running, until I bumped into someone, and fell to the ground.

"I'm so sorry oh my god," A girl apologized.

"I-it's fine," I sniffled.

"Here come with me," She said, signaling to the coffee shop right next to us.

As we walked in, the light could help me see her better.

She was a tall, Brunette, with really nice green eyes.

"Listen I'm so sor- Were you crying?" She asked, noticing my blotchy, red face.

"Um no," I said, shivering.

"Okay, I'm gonna go get us some coffee, and you find us a table," She said.

I don't even know this girl's name, and she's already buying me coffee.

When she got back, she handed me a cup of coffee, and sat down.

"My name is Maddy, by the way," She smiled.

"Hi, I'm Angelica," I tried to smile.

"So, Angelica why are you crying?" She asked.

"Breakup," That's all I had to say for her to understand.

"I'm sorry," She sincerely said, handing me a napkin, to wipe my tears.

"Me too," I quietly agreed.

"How about you go home, because the rain starting to clear up, and we'll meet here some other time, when you're feeling better," She suggested, as she gave me her number.

"Okay," I said. I really need someone to talk to, and if Maddy is my only option, I'll take what I get.

"Okay," She smiled.

Looks I just made a new friend.
