"The death of one man is a tragedy. The death of millions is a statistic" -- Joseph Stalin

Statistics (as of year 2060):

Total death toll:  7,184,937,256

Total population: 2,725,391,864

Major Character Summaries:

Riley Palmer: Riley lived at the 'Columbia Vaccination Headquarters'' with boyfriend Carl Grimes. Riley married at the age of 19, and adopted an orphaned newborn girl, who they named Carol. On the 23rd of August, 2053, Carl and Riley entered a shopping mall in search of food. Accidentally triggering an alarm, the two found themselves cornered by walkers. In a tragic act of heroism and love, Riley sacrificed himself to save Carl's life. As of 2060, Riley is survived by his husband and foster daughter.

Carl Grimes: Carl lived alongside Riley at the C.V.H, where he married Riley at the age of 17, adopting a girl who they named Carol. Carl never forgot those he had lost, and regularly told Carol of her brave, loving grandparents. After the events of the shopping mall, resulting in Riley's death, Carl entered a brief phase of depression. However, Carl chose to live out the rest of his life for his daughter's sake, in the knowledge that he will eventually be able to reunite with his husband.

Carol Grimes: Now 21 years old, Carol Elizabeth Grimes is the foster daughter of Riley and Carl Grimes. She would often quiz her parents as to the events surrounding the first years of the apocalypse, but to this day, Carl has refused to elaborate. She has been told only that there was "a lot of bad stuff, but through all of that darkness and despair, there was the occasional beacon of hope to light the way." Carol is currently 14 weeks pregnant with a confirmed boy, who she wishes to name 'Rick.'

Michonne: Now 83, and suffering minor dementia and arthritis, Michonne's katana-wielding skills are not what they used to be. She keeps her blade beside her bed, along with that of Riley Palmer, whose sword she retrieved many years later. Her continuously illusive personality had made her a very popular and almost famous survivor, and 'guessing Michonne's surname' has become an exciting game among children and adults alike.

Daryl Dixon: Daryl Dixon is one of the eldest survivors of the C.V.H, although even now he will refuse to accept this. At the age of 92, Daryl persists to impress with his infamous crossbow skills. Daryl is one of the closest friends of survivors Carl, Michonne and Tyreese.

Sasha: Sasha and Tyreese were the first to visit the C.V.H following Carl and Riley's approval, and were also the first two people to ever receive the vaccination, which proved to be a complete success. However, in 2028, Sasha was killed by a small group of scavengers whilst on a search for supplies. Her brother, Tyreese, survived the attack and killed those responsible.

Tyreese: Tyreese was vaccinated along with his sister, and the two became rather famous among survivors as a result of this. Following Sasha's death at the hands of fellow humans, Tyreese left the camp for several days. Exactly what he did during those days of absence remains unknown, but when he returned, his mental well-being was far better than it had been beforehand. He is now 89, and continues to live contently in memory of his sister.

Minor Character Summaries:

Captain Robert: Robert lead the C.V.H until 2034, where he passed the role onto his son, Chris. He is still alive today, at the age of 82.

Deanna Monroe: Deanna chose to remain at Alexandria even after the vaccination was proven a success, claiming that the now almost empty community was 'her husband's grave' and that she would not part from it. She died peacefully at the age of 97.

Ezekiel: Ezekiel was never seen again following Carl and Riley's escape from the Saviors' stronghold. When the two returned to the Kingdom many years later, there was no sign of the man, but Carl knows that he owes Ezekiel his life.

Negan: During Carl and Riley's return to the Kingdom they discovered Negan's almost-skeletal remains. He had actually managed to hack of his own arm after it was pinned to the ground by Riley's sword, but his body was found down the next hallway, having been devoured by walkers.
