Because William was bleeding, and based on the deformity of his nose, which appeared to be broken, and Ryan having a cut lip, both of them were sent to the infield care center to be evaluated before meeting with NASCAR. They would need to be cleared to race. Wouldn't that be some shit if William didn't get cleared?
I prayed that Ryan would not be suspended for his actions and based on past experiences with drivers fighting, they were only given a warning so I hope that held true in this case.
I stood outside of the care center waiting and was shocked that no media was present. I guess because the fight was broken up rather quickly that word had not spread yet.
"What happened Mia? I went by the garage looking for you and a few members of the 24 team said that Ryan jumped William. I warned him about this?" Jimmie said sternly, coming up behind me and catching me by surprise.
"It was all William's fault. He said some nasty things about me and Ryan jumped to my defense. I bet they didn't tell you that." I replied angrily.
"What did he say to you?" Jimmie demanded, his eyes darkening in anger.
"It doesn't matter." I shook my head. No need to tell him his former teammate called his daughter a whore. "On the plus side, William got the worst of it. Not so plus side is Ryan and William have to meet with NASCAR when they are done getting evaluated."
"This is all your fault." I heard a nasally voice call out from several yards away. Great. Jeff walked over to Jimmie and me, pointing his finger at me. "I don't know what you said to your boyfriend to make him attack my driver, but I never would have expected Ryan to pull something like that.
"Your...driver needs to know when to keep his stupid mouth shut. He was the one who provoked Ryan by talking shit, so don't come over here pointing your finger at me. Now get it out of my face before I snap it like a twig." I snapped.
"You are nothing but a shit stirrer. William has never gotten into any trouble before. I am so glad I don't have to deal with you anymore. You created nothing but chaos and animosity and somehow managed to turn all of my drivers against each other during your short lived time of being in charge. You slept with half of them and managed to piss the others off. You're just a spoiled, pampered little slut." Jeff snarled, getting right in my face.
Before I knew what was happening, Jimmie pushed me away and grabbed Jeff by the collar, forcing Jeff to look right at him, inches from his face. "Don't you ever speak to my daughter that way again. Otherwise, William won't be the only one with a busted face. Do you understand?"
Holy shit. I had never seen Jimmie that angry before. Part of me was praying Jimmie would knock his lights out, but the other part was worried that if he did, it would get back to NASCAR, and we would all get our hard cards pulled.
For once, Jeff had the sense to keep his mouth shut and only nodded. Jimmie let go of him and we all separated. Soon after, Ryan exited the care center and made his way over to Jimmie and me after shooting a glare at Jeff. Without any of us saying a word, we began walking towards the NASCAR trailer.
"Are you okay?" I asked, seeing the small cut on his lip.
"This?" Ryan chuckled. "William fights like a little girl."
"Did you see him in the care center?" I asked.
Ryan shook his head. "No. They kept us separated."
"I heard you were sticking up for Mia. Thank you. I appreciate that." Jimmie said, shaking Ryan's hand, and my heart nearly exploded from my chest over the fact that I had a dad now who was so protective of me.
