18. Girl

I looked at the ultrasound pictures.

So she's a little girl, huh?

I always wanted a baby shower but I decided against it.

I don't have friends. Not real ones at least.

DG was the person I felt most comfortable and connected with.

But we're not talking anymore.

And I know everyone will be trying to get the information about the father out of me.

I'm too tired for that.

Carefully, I put the pictures away in a safe location and got ready for work.

I examined my small baby bump in the mirror.

I looked bloated more than pregnant, but not much I can do.

I'm keeping a good body for someone that is seven months along.

"Good morning, DG. Good morning, Matt." I smiled at my costars.

"Good morning." DG flipped through the script.

"Goooooood morning!" Matt put an arm around me and I blinked.

He's sure getting into character.

We chitchatted until it was time to get on set.

I tried hard not to laugh as Matt got in my face and flirted with me in character.

DG watched from off camera as they touched up his makeup.

Matt went to kiss me and I pushed him away.

"You know I'm with [DG's character name], I'm not a cheater!"

"Well, leave him then."

I went to slap him but he caught my wrist and smiled.

"Cut! Great work you two! Take a break."

Thank god, I'm exhausted.

I started to walk away but Matt held on to my wrist.

"Hey, wanna come nap in my room?" Matt smiled.

"No, I have to go over my scrip and do something, sorry." I said and walked away.

Hmm...

I scrolled through mommy and me websites.

I can't go in person, can I? Is there one for celebrities? I don't wanna distract the other moms or get special treatment from the director.

And I meed to make plans on where to give birth, which pediatrician ima go to when she's born, and eventually school.

I sighed and I wrote options on a notepad.

I glanced at the time and saw it was time to go back.

Alright.

"Let's go out for drinks, how about it?" Matt asked the main cast.

"I can't. I need to go home get stuff ready for something."

"Oh, are you having a party?" Matt asked.

No, I need to baby proof my house and set up the crib.

"Nah. But it's a mess. I went on a shopping spree and I need to clean." I laughed.

"I can help!" He said and I noticed he completely dropped the idea of drinks when I said I couldn't make it.

It's probably a coincidence.

"No, it's okay. I have a special process I go through. Bye everyone." I waved and everyone said their goodbyes to me.

I glanced at DG. He had three different women this time.

Whatever.

How the fuck do you put this together?

I looked at the video again and frowned.

Do I have that part?

It's probably this one?

Wait, the video is going to far ahead!

I paused it and it took much longer than I thought to put it together.

I placed down the small mattress in the crib and let out a sigh.

Time to baby proof the house.
