"So I uh, I got your flower. Thank you. You didn't have to do that," I say awkwardly.

"Hey, I really did have to - I left you out in the woods by yourself. I'm so sorry Elsa please forgive me. My cousin got in a wreck and we're best buds so I had to go, I'm sorry," Daniel says sincerely.

I grab Daniel by the shoulders and look him in the eyes.

"Daniel," I say soothingly. "It's completely fine. I'm sorry about your cousin. I hope he's okay. I'm not upset - come here."

I embrace him into a hug. He wraps his arms around me and squeezes tightly.

"Elsa! You have a boy! Elsa Elsa Elsa! You're hugging a boy," Anna shouts from across the food court.

Everyone looks up from what they're doing. Shiz. We're causing a scene in the mall - I can now cross that off my bucket list. I take hold of Daniel's arm and quickly pace over to Anna.

"Anna, we're leaving now."

"But," she says exasperatedly. "Who is he? Is he your boyfriend? Elsa you have a boyfriend? How old is he? Can he drive?"

I cut her off.

"Leaving. Now."

Anna points at Daniel and asks if he can come home with us. I lift an eyebrow at him. Daniel shrugs his shoulders and says he'll meet us there.

Daniel is at the house when I arrive. I park and hop out of Sherry.

"I didn't know you could drive," Daniel says with a chuckle.

I grin sheepishly.

"I, um, I actually can't. I'm getting my permit soon if that counts for anything. Oh, and I dropped the little bundle of energy off at her friend's house. So I guess it's just you and I."

Daniel puts a finger to his chin.

"Wallah," he shouts. "Have you ever been to a football game before?"

"Nope," I say. "It's little embarrassing to be honest."

"Uh it's kind of a lot embarrassing, but that's okay. No worries. I'll take you to one since you've been deprived of this glorious sport," he says excitedly.
