[A/N: Oooh sparks are flying between Daniel and Elsa! Don't worry, Jack Frost will come into the picture in the next few chapters...or maybe this one! Have fun reading! :)]
----
Whispers. I hear whispers.
Why can't I open my eyes?
Snippets of a conversation fill my ears. Someone is talking into a phone.
"No, I don't know where she lives-"
"A party-"
"Brought her back here-"
Wait, brought me where?
I finally manage to peel open my eyelids.
"Where - where am I?"
"Shhh, you're fine. It's okay," a gruff voice tells me.
I sit straight up. My eyes scan the room. I'm in a bedroom - but not mine.
Daniel.
----
"This isn't a special drink, is it," I ask as Daniel hands me a mug.
"Ha ha very funny. It's just coffee - it should help with your hangover. That drink was pretty strong for you." Daniel gives me a warming smile.
"So," I take a sip, "you just took me home with you? Oh, and who were you talking to on the phone earlier?"
"Yeah," he says nervously. "You were in pretty bad shape Princess, so I didn't really have a choice. Don't worry, you got the bed and I slept on the couch. For the phone question, it was no one - don't worry about it."
I swallow some more of the coffee. Mmm. The vanilla bean really helps with the throbbing in my head.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see Daniel staring at me in amusement.
"Why are you staring at me," I ask.
"Because you're beautiful," he says while trying to suppress a laugh.
"Thanks for going all Augustus Waters on me. I feel so special." I fake being emotionally touched. "But seriously, that book is the best book ever," I say.
Daniel shakes his head and smiles.
"I was actually staring at you because you don't seem in the least bit surprised that you are sitting in a guy's house, which I might add that you barely even know me, on a Saturday morning and drinking up his supply of coffee."
"Hm," I say. "Never really thought of it that way." I put a finger to my chin. "Where are your parents? Wouldn't they freak if I was here?"
"No. They're out," Daniel says coldly. This seems like a touchy topic and I don't want to press.
"Well," I start, trying to change the subject. "I think I should head out. Anna is probably freaking out."
Daniel looks shocked. His eyes are wide and his lips slightly parted.
"What," I ask as I stand up to leave.
"You have a little sister home all alone? Gosh I'm so stupid! Here I am, wanting you to stay, but you need to get home to Anna! Let me give you a ride," Daniel says with a guilty expression. "Come on, let's go!"
----
"Thanks for the ride," I yell from the front porch.
"No problem Princess!" Daniel waves goodbye and speeds off.
I rap on the door.
"Anna let me in!"
After about five minutes, a sleepy-eyed Anna opens the door. She lets out a yawn.
"Where were you," she asks, clearly annoyed.
"I...got into some trouble and slept over at a friend's house." What? It isn't a complete lie. "I'm so sorry I didn't call you, it's just yeah, I'm really sorry!"
"It's fine," Anna says sighing. "Now get inside, Caroline has been calling all morning."
----
Warm air greets me in the living room. I flop onto the couch and take out my phone. I've got 32 texts, 17 missed calls, and even 9 DM's on Instagram - Instagram? Really Caroline?
I guess I should call her back.
Halfway through the first ring, Caroline picks up the phone.
"WHERE WERE YOU LAST NIGHT," Caroline yells. I have to set down the phone just to keep my eardrum from bursting. Yup. She's steaming mad.
"I think," I start, trying to stay calm, "that you should just come over. It would be easier."
"Okay, I'll be over in ten minutes."
The line goes dead.

[A/N: I'm such a mean person - sorry I didn't put Jack in this chapter! So...the story so far? Ya or nah? I GOT AN OLAF STUFFED ANIMAL LAST WEEKEND AND I'M SO HAPPY! Yep haha, hope you enjoy!]
