Roxy.

Fuck. He's right. I know he's right but there's no need to chew me out in front of everyone. Bastard. Me and Mac had something once. How can he be so fucking cold and uncaring now. Unless it's his precious Lilah, he doesn't give a damn about anyone. I hate him. I fucking hate him.

'Oh go to hell Mac. You're not exactly perfect yourself,' I snarl.

'Yeah?' He growls. 'How do you work that out? I didn't put anyone in the line of fire. Or leave them in a fire for that matter. And I didn't put someone in a cage with a bunch of strangers when they were too out of it to know what was going on. Or did I miss something?' He glares at me like he wants to kill me. Asshole.

'Well aren't you just the perfect boyfriend. Are you forgetting you were hired to keep Lilah a prisoner? Or that you couldn't do your job right because you couldn't keep your damn dick in your pants. She wasn't in that fire because of me. I was saving all your asses because you couldn't do your job. She was in that fire because of you.'

'The fuck she was,' he growls. Obviously furious at me for reminding Lilah that they were never some Romeo and Juliet. He was the hired help. She just didn't know it. But I knew because it was my Mother, Freya that hired him.

'Easy,' says Jameson as if trying to calm a herd of wayward bees.

Lilah decides now is a good time to chip in and says, 'Listen guys, none of this matters right now. We're dealing with new news and we need to think about how we can all stay safe, me, Mac, Jameson and you, Roxy.'

'And London, I spit. 'Other people exist beyond you, your family and your stupid boyfriend you know.'

'Jesus,' Lilah huffs. 'Just get over it Roxy. For Gods sake. Mac doesn't want you and it's not my fault. It was over long before I was on the scene.'

I snort at that. 'You seriously think I'm carrying a flame for Mac? It's you that got sloppy seconds, sister.'

Lilah's eyes shrink to slits and her fists bunch. Got her! Now all I have to do is push a little more and they'll all see precious Lilah is not so perfect.

I take my phone from my pocket as I say, 'Even after he met you he was still texting me... So...'

'Liar!' Yells Mac. 'That's not true.'

'Yeah it is,' I say in a sing song voice. Now I've got two for one on the hook - they're both going to explode... This is so much fun.

I click on my phone, scroll onto Mac's name and pull up a text;

Mac: This is not working. I can't work with Lilah. You have got to get me out of this job. I can't stand it.

It doesn't show the next text he sent because I already deleted the one that said,

Mac: I don't trust myself with this woman. I'm falling for her. My judgement is off.

I shove the phone in Lilah's face. She frowns as she reads it, then says, 'Bullshit Roxy. I know everything. Mac already told me about messaging you- he told me exactly what he said. This is only half the story. You're trying to manipulate history but it won't work with us because we actually tell each other the truth.' Her eyes flick to London and she says, 'How are you two doing with that? Has she told you what happened in Scotland yet?'

'Lilah,' I growl a warning. 'Shut. The. Fuck. Up.'

'Ohhh, she hasn't has she?!' Lilah laughs, clearly enjoying her little show as my stomach turns to rocks. 'Well this is fun,' she turns to me. 'Why haven't you told your boyfriend why my Dad - or should I say, our Dad - kicked you out after you kept sampling the goods? Or how, after getting involved with one too many family clients, one of them OD'd on the back seat of your car while you were fucking him? Or how you had to then drive him to our family home, high as a kite so my brothers could organize a Dr to bring your one night stand back from the brink and keep him in the planet? Or how that guy happened to be our main connect for the North of Scotland but now refuses to have anything to do with the family business and is threatening a coo?'
