Breath of Darkness

Chapter 3

The picture of the dress above is the dress Aaliyah wears to dinner while meeting the new neighbours.

I was stuck. No matter how much my brain was screaming for my legs to move they wouldn't.

"So niñita are you going to apologise to me or will I just have to force you to though be warned I'm not a force to be reckoned with." He hissed in a scary way.

"No Aaliyah you cannot let him get away with this even though he is a prince he can not talk to you in that way." I thought.

"Ca-Can you accept me sincere apology Alejandro I should not have been rude to you." I stuttered.

"Not what I had in mind nice going Aaliyah" I thought.

"That's ok mi niña just don't do it again ok." He whispered in a low voice while letting go of my arm.

"If you do it again be warned i wont go easy on you and will be gone in a split second." He growled.

"Wha-at do you you mean by gone!" I stuttered.

"Lets hope you don't have to find out. Now goodbye niñita." He said glaring at me as he turned and walked back to his car.

"Hey Mum." I panted as I got into the house as I ended up running the rest of the way home after the little run in with Alejandro.

"Hey honey why are you so out of breath." She exclaimed a she walked over to me from the kitchen looking concerned.

"I'm ok mum just thought id run home to get a bit more exercise."

"Oh alright honey I just have to tell you that I met the new family that has moved in across the road today and have invited them across for dinner tonight so go upstairs and put something nice on ok. "

"Thanks mum do you not think I dress nice all the time ?" I joked as she laughed.

"Now be quick our guests will be here any minute."

I rushed up stairs and as I got to the top of the stairs Hope was standing looking at me in a long floor-length dress with her hair all done up nicely in a bun.

"Why you so dressed up Hope its only dinner with the neighbours ?" I questioned

"Mum picked it out for me she says we have to make a good impression as these people are very important."

"Ok." I frowned at her in confusion as I continued down the hallway to my room.

As I walked into my room I had alot of thoughts running through my head as to why this dinner is so important.

"Oh God Aaliyah what are you going to wear !" I thought out loud panicking a bit now.

I ended up going with a navy blue dress with a sweet heart neckline. It came down to my knees and had diamonds on the bodice. I had blue sequence heels on and smoky eye make-up, a dark red lipstick with my hair up in a messy side bun. I had just  got to the top of the stairs when the door bell rang and my father answered it with my mum just behind him. A couple in there late 40's where standing at the door grinning and shaking my parents hands as I go to the bottom of the staircase.

"Hello my name is Josephine. Nice to meet you." She said coming over to me and shacking my hand.

"You must be Aaliyah your just a stunning as your mother said you were." She laughed.

Josephine has long blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She was wearing a floor-length dress in emerald green with hells to match and a purse. She had emerald earrings and necklace to match. Her hair was put up in a low hanging loose bun and had very pale green eye-shadow on.

"Why thank you Mrs..."

"Its Muldo deary." She said in a very heavy Spanish accent that I swear I have heard somewhere before.

"Aaliyah this is my husband George." She announced as he came over and shook my hand.

"Nice to meet you Aaliyah." He said in his posh accent.

"And this is my son Alejandro." She said smiling as she moved aside.

My face dropped. What was he doing here ? I froze just staring at his smug looking face that he had on probably cause he got me to shut up for once.

"Hello princesa." He said grinning down at me.
