Breath of Darkness

Chapter 8

Sitting with Sally eating pizza is one of the best feelings in the world. Gossiping and just relaxing together. But i couldn't relax. Not when Tara isn't here because of him. Vile. That's whats he is. I brought the left over pizza up to my as i saw my sister's school bus pull up outside. Quickly realising that I wasn't alone Hope decided to take the opportunity to be rude to me like always.

"Is there any pizza left or did you eat it all you fat pig ?"

"There is a slice left in the kitchen but i'll make us dinner tonight so what would you like ?"

"None of them microwaved meals for a change. I want a proper home cooked meal like normal people have !" She said in a more demanding way. Gotta love your sister.

"Maybe if you asked in a nicer way it wouldn't be a problem." I challenged her.

She glared at me with her evil eyes for a second before turning away, losing all interest in the conversation or so I thought. Suddenly, dramatic as my sister always is, she pounced on me, hugging me so tight.

"Oh Aaliyah, my sweet sister Aaliyah. Will you do me the honor of making me my dinner for I may starve to death if you don't." She screamed pretending to faint and i laughed and nudged her with my foot as she lay on the floor.

"Dramatic much Hope !" I giggled.

"What a mean person I have as a sister." She said as she got up off of the floor.

She rolled her eyes at me before taking the plate of pizza off the table and sitting down. I glanced out of the window to see a familiar car pull up into our drive way. Parking his fancy car and closing the door I saw my Uncle Travis walk up the drive way. 

"Aaliyah, Hope !" He shouted excitedly as he walked up the drive.

I jumped up into his arms, giving him the biggest hug ever. I hadn't seen my Uncle in 2 years since he is always out of town for work. One minute he's here the next he could be in Vegas, Australia then back home to then disappear again in the blink if an eye.  Hope ran up also and put her arms around him.

"God you girls get bigger and bigger every time I see you."

"I know but that's your fault for being away too long !" I said playfully hitting him.

"Well I'm sorry but you know what works like. I missed my two Favorited nieces  much though."

"We are your only nieces !" I said giggling.

"Why are you back after all this time anyway ?" I asked curiously.

"Because I think it's time your parents told you the truth Aaliyah...."

Hey Guys I hope you like this chapter sorry I haven't posted in ages but life has kinda got on top of me. I'm also sorry this is so short but I wanted to leave you all wanting more. Was the wait for this chapter worth it ? What do you think of Aaliyah's Uncle turning up out of the blue ? What do you think her parents have been hiding ?
