Alessio saw Alyssa arrived in the hospital—his twin, despite her elegance, the distress was obvious. They were identical twins after all, they shared many feelings and their beliefs were also mostly aligned.

"Alyssa..." He hated this, the weariness was eating them both. Bringing a hand up, he cupped her face and then pulled his twin in an embrace. "Did you know?" The question was more than just simple.

The warmth from her twin made Alyssa release a shaky breath and whimper, she was holding back tears and being in this familiar security again after long hours of distance and the issues that befell them, Alyssa allowed herself to let loose. "Yes..." She whispered her reply, embracing Alessio back. "I knew..." The tears were silent as it crossed her cheeks. "I'm sorry, Alessio...I think...I failed us"

They entered a simple room where Alessa was unconscious, she remained in this state for more than an hour now and as per the doctor, the injuries she acquired especially the head was not minor and could put her life at stake.

'It is not you, Alyssa...I should have been stronger for the three of us. You, Alessa and mother...are the only special females in my life.' Alessio had a grim expression, his eyes shadowed by his bangs. He watched his twin neared the side of the bed and gently placed an arm lightly around their sibling.

The sound of Alyssa's muffled cries were still heard amid the sound of the airconditioner.

Alessio glanced at Gino standing and leaning against the doorframe. There was a silent message passing between them, a decision that had consent from both sides.

"Alessa, tomorrow is a brand new day" Alyssa kissed the young woman's forehead before pulling away and standing up.

Alessio placed a hand on his twin's shoulder, "You do not have to do this, I will take responsibility."

"No, we do things together, that's how it's supposed to be." There was a note of finality in Alyssa's words as she met her twin's gaze with hers. "Let this be an atonement for the sin I committed." There was a flashback of how she brutally ended Naldo's life. "I will not leave you behind, Alessio."

In a garden secluded from the rest, far back beyond the rose labyrinth of which Anneliese Adrianne Liddel-Laceheart only knew and cascaded to her children, this sanctuary obscured by strange plants and towering hedges, this was where the solitude flown for the siblings.

This would also be where they commence the unthinkable.

Beneath the white gazebo, Alyssa finished preparing two dainty teacups on a silver tray and an equally attractive teapot. She poured its content equally, filling the teacups with this muddle reddish-maroon liquid. As the twins conversed in hush tones, talks about a dream that would not come true anymore yet smiles apparent on their faces knowing the treasure closest to their hearts has a chance to live the dream she wanted. Talks about an alternative timeline without greed possessing the family and they were in a home of an oasis with their mother.

Gino stood from afar, watching them with a grave expression. He could see a the faint ghastly appearances of the others huddled around the white gazebo, they were waiting. He watched Alyssa and Alessio drank from their teacups.

Finally.

The time had come.

Tonight, the Heart of Marchen...its central state would be subject to the beginning of a disturbance that not everyone would be able to comprehend. The flow of normalcy, daily routine carried on, unaware of what was to approach; the moon against the dark sky was at its crescent phase resembling a wide taunting shiny grin whilst its company cluster of stars were bear witness to the unfolding of the fairytale people would not like.
