I walk down the stairs being careful with every step as I make my way to the great hall and immediately spotting Robyn who seemed to be mumbling to herself.

"Just a little longer... and then freedom! Soaring higher and higher... I can't wait!"

I approach her with the slightest hint of hesitance in my step

"Robyn? Are you all right? You're muttering to yourself.." I ask

"Was I? Sorry. I'm just excited about Flying Lessons. You must be, too!" Robyn says with a little sway to her movements

I laugh nervously, "Actually, I'm not an expert on the matter. I was taught the basics when I was younger but was never able to really fly before hehe.." I respond scratching my cheek with my finger

"Well, what are we waiting for? Come on Lillith, I'll make you the greatest person to have ever ridden a broomstick! Next to me of course!" Robyn said, taking my hand into hers and pulling me along with her through the castle gates.

Robyn lets me go as we enter the castle gates. I stare in awe admiring the beautiful night sky glittered in stars with the dark mysterious forest just below it. How pretty, oh how I miss the view from my bedroom balcony back at home... I think solemnly.

I feel a nudge on my shoulder as I look over and see Robyn holding two brooms, handing me one.

"Thank you, Robyn" I smile as she smiles back.

She leads me to the middle of the court and places her broom close to her on the ground.

"Up!" She says and the broom flys up to her hand. Robyn climbed on top of the broom and pushes her feet off the ground sitting on top of the levitating broom

"Wow! You're amazing Robyn!" I say literally with stars in my eyes

Robyn giggles a bit with a tint of red on her cheeks, feeling embarrassed. "Now you try." She says grinning at me.

"Okay... it's been a while since I've tried this" I chuckle nervously but also excited.

I place the broom on the floor in-front of me and held out my hand above it, taking a deep breath before I say..

"Up!" The broom flings itself to my hand, almost knocking me down as I lost my balance from the sudden sensation to my hand.

"Great! Now climb on and when you're ready and push yourself off the ground." I nod at Robyn's words and carefully climb on the broom and jump lightly to lift myself off the ground.

"Haha! I did it!" I exclaim, smiling brightly almost losing my balance on the broom

"See? Easy, Right?" I giggle at her words

"Come on, follow me!" Robyn said as she takes off slowly waiting for me to follow

I position myself properly, sweat dropping as I make an attempt to follow my friend. Starting off slow and then gradually accelerating, the adrenaline makes me smile and I feel the wind blow against my hair almost letting my red beret fly off to the horizon.

"Look off to the horizon if you're ever feeling scared. It'll help!" I hear Robyn yell out to me

And I take her advice and look out. The big trees with their sprawled out leaves and branches, it's beautiful... I look over to my right and examine the uneven terrain, the different levels of ground letting Hogwarts stand atop one of the highest peak!

Robyn dips down and lowers herself just above the big river letting me follow. I see my reflection in the water as I zoom past, my blue eyes shine like the moon, reminds me of mother, I think as I dismiss the thought as soon as the river ends.

Tilting my head up again as I stick to Robyn's lead flying over a boat, a big house, some other students and even Hogwarts! I look at the Hogwarts castle and spot a familiar redhead in a window Daniel... noticing me he smiles and waves to me, I smile back looking back at him as I fly so fast and wave back. I feel a wave of euphoria wash over my entire body and smile even brighter from the encounter with a good friend. Good friend... good..

I could hear Robyn enjoying herself as I smile at her joy, I chuckle to myself as I feel so much ecstasy riding across the skies. She twists and turns at the trees as if they were obstacles in her way. "Venturing into the forest is a much better way to learn than sticking your nose in an old book" Robyn says as we fly past, what i assume, Hagrids Hut and the Whomping Willow.

We fly across the skies again, now side by side, flying past the Quidditch pitch being careful not to bump into anyone or anything.

"Do you think we'll be back in time for Quidditch?" She asks, her voice calmer and clearer now that we're closer.

"Of course, I have a feeling you'd always have time for Quidditch!"

"Heh.. you're right" Robyn chuckles, looking back at the Quidditch pitch earnestly.

Robyn looks back in-front of her and speeds up. Leaving me behind and looking back giving me a let's-see-what-you-can-do look, challenging my adaptability. I almost stumble but I do not turn down challenges like this, especially with friends.

I speed up and lower my upper body and keep my feet close and tight with the broom, forming a bullet like formation with my body and the broom. Robyn giggles at my antics and tries to pick up even more speed.

We fly past the underside of a big bridge connecting two buildings of Hogwarts and pass by a big door and a few students surrounding it.

"Hey, do you want to dance?" Robyn shouts, so now I suppose thats a room for students to dance? I don't pay any more mind as I finally catch up to Robyn who lands back in the court, where we started, looking and smiling in my direction. I land softly next to her and take breaths like I've never had fresh air before.

"Excellent control out there! Color me impressed, Little Lily. You're the best student I've ever had!" Robyn says, playfully punching my shoulder making me laugh, flattered.

"I didn't think I'd enjoy flying so much. Thanks for everything Robyn. You're a brilliant teacher!" I say holding the hand she punched with as an act of sincerity and to show I meant every word.

"My pleasure! Want to go for another round?" She asks, retracting her hand and placing both on the end of the stick side of the broom.

"No, thanks. I'm good." I tell her, still panting from the joyride I just experienced.

"Okay then, see you later!" She waves goodbye as she hops on her broom again and flys past me.

I smile as I watch her make circles in the air and walk back inside, making sure to put the broom back from where Robyn took them.
