Rains pov.
I woke up wrapped in his arms, i turned over and planted a soft kiss on his lips.
"Gally baby i have to get up to run." He groaned in a soft response. I kissed his lips again and then got dressed for my run in the maze.
Recap over the past two years.
I have been running since i arrived in the glade. After a few weeks the other gladers became conftrable around me and we became like a family. Me and gally got together, he remembered me from the lab. And as for memories i remember everything they did to us and to my friends. Were here because the world went to hell and we are the only people who are safe from a certain infection that the harsh sun created.
Now i live here with my family and me, ben, and minho go out to run every morning. Of course i am still the only girl here and it sucks, but its not like i can ask the creators to send me another girl. Well thats all life is pretty good.
Or so i thought.
Time skip to the runners coming back from the maze.
"Rain hey alby wants your help to prepare for the new greenie." Chuck said as he approached me. Today was the day we get a new arrival in the glade.
All if a sudden we heard the loud sirens of the box rising to the glade. I ran over to the box along with the rest of the gladers.
"Hey greenie you ok in there?" Newt asked as he lookes at the frightened brown haired boy.
"Newt just help him out for shucks sake." I exhaled and he nodded pulling the guy out of the box.
The boy was about our age, and shit he was scared. He fell to the ground and the gladers laughed. Then he got up and started running at full speed. I was impressed he was fast. Kids around startes shouting 'ooh look we got a runner!' 'Run greenie run.'
The boy fell face first into the ground. I felt bad and gathered newt and minhos attention. "Boys go and help him. Get him cleaned up and then start to tell him about the glade." I ordered the two.
Alby nodded in agreement with my decisison. " ugh i am starving. Gally will you get me a sandwich i gave ben and minho mine this morning. I havent been feeling to good." He nodded and wrapped his arm around my waist and walked me over to frypans.
I munched down my sandwhich and then left gally to get back to work. "Hey newt hows the new greenie doing?" I asked the blonde haired british boy.
"well i told him everything he needs to know. The usual and he still want to know whats out there." He said exasperated as he gestered to the boy.
I walked over to the greenie. "So you want to know whats out there?" I questioned and he looked at me in a daze but then snapped out of it and nodded.
"Well its not your job to know. But ill tell you, we call it the maze. Your not allowed out there. Follow our rules and you will be just fine. Oh and try not to ask anymore questions Understand?" I asked as he watched the maze doors close.
"Why are you the only girl ive seen here?" I laughed a little.
"You know i thought i said no more questions. See ya around greenie." I said as i walked pass him and twoards the map room.
"Alby i don't thunk hes going to listen to my warnings. hes gonna make a run for the maze i just feel it." I said with a worried tone.
He nodded in understanding and walkes out of the map room and twoards the greenie.
"Hey alby said were having a bonfire tonight. We should get ready and gather everyone." Minho said as he walked around the table.
"Ok well ima go take a shower then get dressed. You gather the boys ill help frypan with the food and drinks." I said but it was more of a command.
