Third person pov.
Every one of the glade members gathered in the main hall to hear what alby had to say. Newt, minho, and rain all sat behind alby as he talked to the boys.
"Why would we just now be getting a girl? And from the maze?!" One boy asked.
"yeah i agree... our new comers usually come from the box. They dont come from the maze. Maybe shes a reject from the creators!" Another screamed which riled up the others and the room broke out in murmurs and loud shouts. Even though it was only like 10 boys the room became very loud.
Alby didn't take any more before he stood in front of everyone. "No shut your holes this girl is no threat to us, it may seem strange. But shes like us and maybe her coming from the maze means that there is a way out." He shouted over the others. Immediately they calmed down ecause of the authority in albys voice.
Gally stepped forward from the crowd and stood next to alby. "I agree, we should stop with our accusations and make her feel welcome. Rain is one of us and she will be treated like one of us." He shouted with the same authority alby held over the boys.
Everyone was quiet and nodded in agreement. "So its final we will make 'rain' one of us. Starting with her being our new runner. Meeting dismissed!" Alby shouted over the quieted room.
All of the boys dispersed to their parts of the glade, leaving the scared girl with alby, newt, minho, and finally gally.
Rains pov.
I still sat there and felt like the few gladers hated me and that the others would never accept me.
"Ok so first off were going to introduce you to the others at our bonfire next week. And after your all settled in you will start the job as a runner with minho and ben." Alby said as we all stood up after the meeting that went well... could have gone better.
"Yeah and i volenteer some of our builders and myself to repair one of the huts so she could have a more permanent home." Gally offered with a smile on his face.
"That would be a wonderful idea gally and while thats under way. Who would you like to bunk with rain? I trust all three of these guys with you so its up to you.." alby asked gestering to minho, gally, and newt.
"Im sorry alby but newts hut is filled with the supplies, barely enough room for himself. And my hut is only big enough for me and ben. so i guess that leaves your hut gally. You up for that man?" Minho stated and then poked gallys shoulder playfully as if he was passing off a scary sarcastic five year old.
"Yeah i can handle taking in greenie here. Minho I'll show rain around. Will you help frypan and get her some food for when we are done?" Gally asked, but it came off a but gruff and more like he was telling chuck rather then asking.
