"You have to realize who you are Harry!" Hermione exclaims as she reads The Daily Prophet. Harry and I walk alongside her through the corridors. I peer over Hermione's shoulder to see the paper, quickly averting my gaze as I see a mention of my brothers disappearance.

"I know who I am Hermione, alright?" Harry snaps, clearly on edge due to recent events, and rightfully so. "Sorry." He apologizes quickly.

"And Cassidy, your-" Hermione cuts herself off as she catches sight of Ron and Lavender. I find myself relieved that she didn't get the chance to ask anything.

"Cassidy Milburn." Snape's voice booms through the corridor, catching many students attention. He storms towards me, his eyes flickering to Harry before he speaks. "My office, now." He demands, turning swiftly on his heel. As he leaves the corridor students clear a path for him, their curious gazes lingering on me.

"You should go, people are staring." Harry whispers. I survey the crowd, noticing Rons worried expression while Lavender glares at me. The remainder of the students watching me look confused, eager to ask what Snape wanted later on.

Snape aggressively points to Lacy's picture on the first page of the Muggle newspaper. 'Missing girl returned to family!' The heading reads, below there's an unmoving photo of Lacy with parents. Her parents stand behind her, each having a hand on her shoulder. Lacy's joyful, innocent smile is thankfully restored.

"Returned to her family." Snape reads, rage floods his tone. "I knew you couldn't do it, you spineless-"

"She did do it." Draco says, stepping in front of me as some sort of defence. "It was the boy." He flips the page, showing a report of the boys murder.

'One life returned, another taken.' I read in my head, a scowl appearing on my face. I didn't 'return' Lacy just for that boy to die. I find myself wondering why this isn't the front page, despite my hopes to get away with it. As I skim the remainder of the article, my scowl fades.

"That man- he- he pleaded guilty?" I mutter, taking the paper off the desk. "He wouldn't plead guilty, he watched me do it." I thread my eyebrows together, my knuckles turning white as I subconsciously tighten my grip.

"He watched you do it?" Snape rolls his eyes, unimpressed by my carelessness. "We had the muggle alone in Spinner's End to avoid a stupid mistake like that." He shakes his head, sitting in his chair exhausted by the situation at hand.

"I erased his memory." Draco speaks up, my head snaps to face him bewildered by his confession. "I found him washing the blood off of his hands in a puddle, I erased any memory of us at all." He explains, not even looking at me.

"Draco, you could get in so much trouble!" I exclaim, looking to Snape for any sort of support. He watches Draco with a hallow expression, his mouth agape.

"You're an accomplice in a murder now, before you finish your own mission." Snape drawls, nodding as he realizes how terribly this has all gone. "Do you understand what position you put me in?" He asks, Draco sneers.

"I don't care what position you're in, Cass is safe-" He starts but cuts himself off as Snape shoots up from his seated position.

"You put my life on the line!" Snape shouts, his voice echoing through the small room. "What if you're caught, and put in Azkaban before you can finish your mission?" Draco's expression briefly shows regret before being overtaken by a glare.

"I've told you before, I don't need your protection." Draco spits angrily, his eyes narrowed at Snape. I open my mouth, attempting to interrupt the argument but I'm swiftly cut off by Snape.
