Its Always Been You *A Carlos Pena Story*

Chapter 2

I woke up the next morning with the LA sun shinning in my face. I sit up yawning, I stretch and look outside my window. I can already tell it's going to be a beautiful day. As I get out of bed my phone beeps letting know I have a text message. Walking over to my phone I look at it to see it's from Carlos.

The boys and I are going to the beach. Do you wanna come? xoxo Los

I read the text and smile. Spending the say with Carlos and the rest of Big Time Rush, sounds like a win win option to me. Unlocking my phone I text Carlos back. 

Of course. xoxo Char

Sitting back on the bed a small smile spreads across my face. Thinking about going to the beach with the boys, it seams like a date...even though I know it isn't. The phone pings once more.

Meet us there in one hour. xoxo Los.

After smiling like crazy over our the invite to the beach. I walk over to my closet all pull out my favorite bikini. Its purple with silver batman logos on it. I may be in love with Carlos but Logan and I share this obsession with Batman. Not just wanting to walk outside in a bikini you put on your black high waisted shorts with a crop top. Walking into the bathroom I put on a little purple waterproof eye shadow and light lip gloss. I grab my choose 180 necklace and choose 180 bracelet and put those on. 

I put my hair into a bun because I know it is just gonna get messed up later, grabbed my shades, put on my black Converse and I walk out the door. The drive down to he beach was nice, I had BTR, of course, blasting the whole way. Pulling up to the beach I get out the car taking my beach bag and search for the boys. I didn't see them yet so I walk close to the shore and set up all of my stuff there. As I was relaxing and soaking up sun I get a text from Carlos.

Trying to get away from the paparazzi. We don't want them at the beach with us. We should be there in a few. xoxo Los. 

Reading the text I start laughing. Of course the paparazzi would be the reason why they are late. Unlocking my phone to send a text I reply

Then I'll see you when you guise get here. xoxo Char.

Not knowing how long it would take the boys to get here I got up and walked over to the water. Sitting in the hot sand letting the warm hit my toes I smile at the sun. I let my mind wonder and as it always does it goes back to Carlos. How come he hasn't noticed how much I love him? I feel like I make it pretty obvious that I am in love with him...but he choose Alexa. What does she have that I don't. Feeling tears start to gather in my eyes I stop think about him. Removing my glasses I wipe the tears that gathered in my eyes.

After wiping those few tears I put my glasses back on stand up and wipe the sand off of my shorts. Sitting back on mt blanket. "CHAR.", I heard my name being screamed and I look over my shoulder to see the boys coming my way. I stand up only to be hugged and spun around my muscled arms I have memorized. Carlos. "Los", I gasp out, "Can't breathe." He sets me down and says 'Sorry' while the others laugh. "Forgive him", James says. "He's been excited to come to the beach ever since you said you were coming." he spoke which caused both you and Carlos to blush. 

"Anyways", Logan says. "Sup Char" and he walks over to hug you. And the same went for Kendall and James. After hugs and hellos were exchanged Logan screams "TIME TO GET IN THE WATER".    The boys pull of their shoes and I take off my top and shorts. "Nice biniki". Logan says laughing. I looked over at him and winked. "We both know how much I have an unhealthy obsession with Batman" you replied to him making everyone laugh. 

All of us ran over to the water playing and splashing each other. We wanted to play chicken but Logan refused to get on either Kendall of James shoulders so that idea was thrown away. Carlos and Logan ended up throwing me into the water but Kendall and James helped me get my revenge by dunking water on them. Carlos was about to tackle me into the water until he heard my stomach growl. Looking up at him sheepishly I smiled and said, "I hungry.". He only let out a laugh as he grabbed my hand.

Looking down at his hands around mine a blush comes across my face. Carlos is holding my hand I think smiling. Finally reaching where the Kendall, James and Logan were we all sat down. "Do you want a hamburger or a hotdog?", Logan asked. "Hmmm...Hamburger." He looked up at me and smirked, "good choice." Shaking my head I ask, "You must have made them." Everybody laughs as Logan nods his head furiously. "He's such a loser", James said. "HEY!", Logan shouted, " You know I can still hear you right?" "And your point is?" James said rolling his eyes.

"Boys", Kendall said repremanded them like a father would.

"He started it", they both said pointing at each other only cause you to laugh and ask Carlos, "Are they always like this?" 

"Sometimes its worse", he  which makes you laugh even harder. Once all the food was eaten Logan, Kendall, and James said they had to leave. "Why?", I asked confused.

"We have to go over some vocals. Carlos was the smart one and chose to do it yesterday", Kendall said as Carlos shook his head proudly. 

"Well", I started, "bye guys." I got up to give them hugs.

"Bye", the said back walking away. I look over to Carlos who staring at your face intently. "What?" I asked feeling self conscience. "Lets take a walk on the shore", he said. He takes my hand and he leads us to the shore. The only thing I could think was...what does Carlos want to talk about. What if tells me loves me...or he hates me. 

I shake my head to clear all thoughts. We sit on the cliff over looking the sunset and Carlos turns to me and says, "I had a really fun day spending time with you. It reminded me of when we were kids." 

"We did come to the beach a lot when we were younger huh?" I asked. "Yeah. That's all we used to do. Go to the beach or spend the night at each other houses watching movies." Laughing Carlos said, "We still do that now." 

Looking over at Carlos I noticed how the sunset hits his face just right when he smiles which lights up his face. He is just beautiful. "Thank you," I said and Carlos has a puzzled look on her face.

"For what?"

"For keeping your promise and not changing. Even with all your fame you still my friend. My biggest fear was that when Big Time Rush became famous I was going to lose my best friend to the fame and I didn't", I finished with a smile.

"And you won't", he replied. Just as Carlos was about to give me a hug his name was called. Our heads shot up and her comes Alexa running towards us. 'WHY IS SHE HERE?', I scream in my head. Finally making it to us she hugs Carlos and gives him a kiss and then says 'Hi' to me while I was wishing that was me.

"Do you want to join us?" Carlos asked. "Is it okay with Char cause I know she was here first." "YEAH", I think, "I WAS HERE FIRST SO LEAVE', but I ended up saying it was okay. That was the  worst decision ever. I sat there as a third wheel while they cuddled as the sun went down. When I heard a small 'I love you' come from their lips and I  tell Carlos I need to leave. 

I ran back to where all our stuff was, grabbed what was mine got in my car and drove off. I cut the radio off not wanting to hear Carlos' voice. I was crying to hard I had to stop the car so I wouln't crash. Finally making it to the my house I ran upstairs, feel on my bed and sobbed myself to sleep.
