Chapter 8

FINAL CHAPTER

3 years later.

I was looking at myself in the mirror. Today was the big day. My hair and makeup were completed and I was mesmerized by my reflection. "Are you ready dear?", I looked to see Mama Pena sticking her head through the slightly cracked door. "Yeah", I said almost in awe. She came over and hugged me. "I told you everything was going to be okay and that he loved you." I could only smile at her and nod my head.

Mama Pena said goodbye and went back to her seat. I stood in the room taking deep breathes. I ran my hands over my dress, my wedding dress. I looked down at the flowing white dress and smiled once more. Gathering all of my courage I walked out of the room and to the double doors. I heard the music playing and the doors opened. It was time to walk down the isle.

I saw Carlos in his suit standing down there waiting for me. Our eyes stayed locked as I made my way down the isle. From the corner of my eye I saw our parents smiling, and the boys giving each others high fives and I let out a small chuckle under my breathe. Finally standing next to Carlos, "You look beautiful", he said. "You don't look to bad yourself", I replied and he gave me a small smirk.

It seemed as if the vows went by quickly.

"I do", Carlos said.

"I do", I replied starting to cry.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Carlos removed the veil, cupped my face in his hands and kissed me slowly and passionately.

"I love you Mr. Pena."

"As I love you Mrs. Pena."

And we walked down the isle hand in hand into the limo and drove off into our beautiful life.
