Today was the day. The day that I might as well died as well.
When Chan showed me where we were shooting I almost threw up. He asked me if I was okay with it. I just nodded and swallowed thickly.
"Ok, time to go!" Hyunjin enthusiastically. I almost thought about saying I was sick so I didn't have to go. But I couldn't. He wont believe me.
All of us got loaded up in the van and drove to the place. When we got there it was hard to believe that it was actually taller then the picture.
My breath picked up. This has to be some nightmare. I really hope this is a just a bad dream. What if I fall? What if one of the members fell? Who the hell picked this place?! It rained yesterday. It's probably slippery. What if I slip and fall off the edge? I was struggling to breathe at this point.
All the members were in the elevator waiting for me. "Hyung, you coming?" Changbin said snapping me out of my thoughts. "Oh- uh yeah." I hurriedly went to the elevator. Once we were all in. My manager, So-jin pressed the number 200!?
There were 200 floors and then we had to walk a few flights of stairs to get to the rooftop. So-jin explained.
Could this day get any worse. Gosh, I'm freaking out and were only on floor 12. It takes everything not to sink to the floor and have a panic attack. I take multiple deep breaths but the remarks from my members are certainly not helping.
"OmG its so high up!" Hyunjin shrieked an excitement "I've never been this high up before." Han said excitedly. And the comments didn't stop.
When they finally arrived at the rooftop they had to wait a while the set was set up and that kind of pissed me off I just wanted this to be over quickly.
Suddenly I bumped into Felix. "Oh careful hyung, you don't wanna slip off the edge."
What. The. Fuck.
I wrapped my arms around myself as I closed my eyes. "Hey, you okay hyung?" Felix asked. "Yeah. Fine." I said quickly even though I felt my eyes burn behind my eyelids. "Oookayyy." He said and turned away.
When we finally started to dance. I was super relieved. Not even 20 seconds into the song Jeongin slipped and fell. The members laughed once they were sure he was okay. But I didn't laugh. How could I? He could've fell off the building.
The medics rushed towards him with a towel even they were chuckling.
I wrapped my arms around me again as tears filled my eyes. But I didn't care if anyone saw. This is too much. "Hey, you good?" Changbin asked seeing the tears in my eyes. "Innie's fine you know." He said. "Yeah he is, but what if he wasn't? What he had slipped off the platform!? How are you so calm?" I said raising his voice as I struggled to hold my tears back.
Then Chan came. "Whats going on? Shit, Minho what's going on??" He was concerned. Then I couldn't help it anymore and tears fell down my face. "I-I just can't. How are you guys doing this?!" I cried louder sparking the attention of the rest of my members. "What do you mean?" Changbin asked. I sobbed. Why couldn't they just understand?
"Um can you guys give us a minute?" Chan ordered. The rest did as they were told, despite the concern in their eyes.
"What do you mean Min? Lets step over here for a bit." He started to lead me closer to the edge and my eyes widened. "No no no no no stop stop." I said frantically. He stopped and I just sat down where I was not caring how wet it was. Being closer to the ground helped me a bit. Chan squatted next to me and wiped my tears. "What's going on?" He asked. "I just-It's just-" I stopped mid-sentence and cried some more.
"Okay, it's alright. Calm down." Chan said soothingly rubbing my back. When I managed to calm down I said, "I don't like heights. At all. In fact I was diagnosed with acrophobia when I was 17." Chan made an o face and nodded. "Do you want to leave? We can do this another day or change our shooting area."
I didn't even think about it but I suddenly just hugged him and he hugged me back. I could tell he was crying too
