The first thing I did when I woke up was looking at the sleeping beauty on the bed.

My wife.
My better half.
My everything.

A lot of things have been running in my mind since our nikaah. The way I'm going to take care of her, devour her everyday, these thoughts are doing something in me.

I'm giving her the space that she needs, so that she doesn't feel suffocated being with me. I want her to trust me completely, let herself out to me. If  I have to wait for it, then I will.

But this distance is killing me. Every fiber of my being aches to touch her every time I look at her, but I hold myself back.

I got up slowly, making sure no noise was made, and walked towards the bed and settled beside her. I brushed a strand of her hair from her face and slowly whispered " I love you, sweetheart. Don't ever leave me, baby,"

Even though we are married and she's right in front of me, the fear of her getting to know the truth and leaving me is tearing me apart from the inside.

Shrugging the thoughts off, I pushed myself off the bed. Although I wanted to stay for a bit long, I had to pull myself before she could wake up.

With one last glance at my sunflower's peaceful face, I headed towards the gym.

The sound of giggling reached my ears as I stepped in. Sure enough, my brothers are there, laughing like some maniac.

"Bhaiyaaaa!!! I missed you!!!" Hafiz jumped on me as soon as he saw me and ended up in a bridal style. "What the fuck, Hafiz!" I scolded and dropped him on the rowing machine.

For a second he thought he was safe. But the moment he lands, the sliding seat shoots backwards at full speed, dragging him with it. He completely lost his balance and flew off the back and landed on the floor with a loud thud.

Silence.

"Bhaiii! Why did you do this?!" He cried, as Rehaan burst out laughing. I remained unbothered, tossed a towel on his face and said "Get up, you're embarrassing yourself."

"You are so bad, bhai. You don't know the worth of your most handsome brother," saying he got up off the floor and hit Rehaan's back. "Stop laughing."

Instead of stopping, he laughed even more making Hafiz angry. "I said stop it or..." he smirked "I will send the recordings to her."

"What recordings?"

"The one where you were torturing me with how she looks at you, how softly she speaks and all."
