Scott pov
Me and Mitch sat at his island in the kitchen, drinking hot coffee and eating sandwiches. Every so often Mitch would drift of into space while staring at my wings.

"So, do you take people to the light still?"
"No, I'm now considered a fallen angel. But I've gotten my wings."
"Oh, were you ever human? Did you like, die?"
"Mhm, I was 24. I died in a car crash."
"Wait! What's your full name?"
"Scott Hoying."

Mitch's eyes grew wide and he slumped back on his stool. Soon hot tears pricked at the corner of his eyes.
I stood up and walked over to him. I used my thumbs to wipe away the tears.

"What's wrong?"
"I-I was in an accident a year ago, t-the other guy didn't make it! They said his n-name was Scott!"

I immediately wrapped my arms and wings around him soothing him.
"Shhh, it's ok. It wasn't you'r fault Mitchy."
"Yes it was! I-I wasn't paying a-attention and I ran a r-red light and T-boned the c-car!"
"I still don't blame you! Mitch I'm an angel! Of course I'm going to forgive you!"

I hugged his small shaking body closer to mine.
"Shhh, calm down Mitchy."
"S-so you w-won't be mad at m-me?"
"No! Of course not. Look at me."
I held his face up for him to look at me.
"I do not, nor will I ever blame you for killing me."

Mitch started right into my eyes, I slowly leaned in connecting our lips.
I felt that spark I'd never felt before. I deepened the kiss by pulling Mitch into my body more and wrapping my wings around him tighter.

Out lips moved in sync, his lips plump and warm.
Mitch slowly pulled away resting his forehead on mine.
His eyes fluttered open looking right at me. I kissed the tip of his nose before he put his head down snuggling into my chest.

"Wanna go sit on the couch?"
I felt him nod his head, he went to pull away but instead Lifted him up.
He let out a small yelp and griped onto me.
I let out a giggle and walked to his living room plopping him on the couch.

I went around and gently sat down next to Mitch, him immediately snuggling up to my side. I draped my wings over the arm of the couch and softly over his shoulders.

He reached and grabbed the remote flicking the TV on. Content with the channel he slid the remote back onto the coffee table.

We laid in a comfortable silence, enjoying each other's presence.
Pretty soon Mitch had fallen asleep, his mouth parted slightly.

I soon found myself drifting off sleep too.

--
I jolted awake for no apparent reason, but both of my wings were draped protectively around Mitch.

I looked around remembering what happened earlier.
"Scott?"
"I'm right here Mitchy. You ok?"
"Mhm" He mumbled tiredly. I cradled his body more with my wings, soothing him back to sleep.

I was about to fall back asleep when I heard footsteps in the kitchen. I looked over and stretched my neck so I could see.

I saw a short figure open the fridge and then shut it quietly.
"Psssst! Mitch?" Came a female voice.
She walked Into the living room flicking the light on.
When she saw me, she stopped dead in her tracks and dropped her glass. This caused Mitch to jolt back awake and sit up.
"Kirstie?"
"H-his wings! What?"

Mitch slid a hand over my right wing, as asking me to move it. I slid it from over him and laid it on the arm of the couch again.

"What time is it?"
"8:30 in the morning."
"Oh"
"I should go." I said to Mitch.

I pulled my other wing from behind his back and stood up. I stretched out, my wings dropping a few feathers.

"Please don't"
"I'll be back Mitchy."
"Promise?"
"Swear."
I leaned down and kissed his forehead, smoothing his hair.
"I love you."
"Love you too babe."

I walked out and shot into the air, going to tend to my other duties.

Mitch pov
"He had wings! That moved, and your in love?"
"He's a fallen angel."
"Woah"
"Yeah, it's a long story." All of a sudden Kirstie's eyes widened.
"B-behind y-you"

I didn't have enough time to swing before I was knocked to the ground.
