Scott Pov
Today is me and Mitch's two year anniversary and I want to do something he'll never forget. So I've planned a special trip to Disney. He's only been there twice and I know he wanted to go back. Mitch was out with Kirst for breakfast. She was in on the surprise too. I'm also going to propose today.
I reached into my pocket and slid my finger over the small velvet box.
I knew the custom Disney hats were arriving today so when the doorbell rang I jumped over the couch. I swung the door open startling the mailman.
"Are you Scott Hoying?"
"Yep!"
"Just sign this then." He handed me the clipboard with a paper and pen. I quickly scribbled my signature and snatched the box from him. He nodded awkwardly and walked away. I shut the door and ran to the Kitchen for the scissors.
I sliced the tape open and quickly opened the box revealing two beautifully wrapped hats with a small card laid gently on top. I picked the card up and opened it.
It read 'Dear Scott, we hope you enjoy your hand stitched custom Disney hats. we heard from a little birdy its your anniversary and hope then you have.' I stopped reading when I heard Mitch and Kirst walk through the door. I quickly grabbed the box and put in on top the fridge.
I then walked out to see Mitch.
"Hey baby, how was breakfast?"
"It was amazing! Thank you for asking."
I gave Kirst the look and she nodded. I smiled at Mitch and couldn't help but think about how excited he will be.
"You ok babe?"
"I'm fine, this might sound weird but I need you to go upstairs, find your best Disney shirt and put it on."
Mitch gave me a weird look before going up to change. I was already wearing a short sleeve Snow White shirt.
"Ok, Kirstie, I'm going to go put that hats in a bag if he comes down before I've gathered everything, make something up to make him wait."
"Yes sir!" She did a mini salute and I went back into the kitchen. I pulled the hats from on top fridge and gently took them out leaving them in the tissue paper. I slid them into the backpack gently and went to fill it with others things we'll need.
I made sure I had sun screen, extra money because I knew Mitch would want to get stuff, and a few other things. I ran to the car and stuck it in the backseat and ran back inside. I saw Kirstie went into our room with Mitch.
I had a sigh of relief when I got everything done. I walked up the stairs and peeked my head in the door way.
"Ready?" Mitch and Kirstie both turned around. Mitch was wearing a light pastel, tie dyed shirt with aerial on it.
Mitch smiled and nodded. We all went downstairs, Mitch and Kirstie talking. When he got to the door way I stopped him .
"The place I'm taking you is a surprise so you'll have to wear this." Kirstie reached behind her and pulled the long strip of cloth from her back pocked and slipped it over Mitch's eyes.
"Noooo, Scottie! I don't like blindfolds!"
"Sorry Mitchie, its a surprise!"
"Finee. Only because its our anniversary and I love you."
"I love you too babe."
Kirstie led him to the car before i got in.
"Ok, so I'll be in the park at all times but you wont see me! I'll be with Jeremy. I'll be there when you *a hem*."
