Anything in bold will be a flash back
Scott pov
You can still hear them....the screams. The screams of sorrow. The cries from loved ones. Screams of help, never being answered.

Most of the cries and screams are from me, sorrowing in her death.
-
I lay in the cold dew covered grass, my head resting on a cold marble stone. I watched as my breath floated into the air and faded away.
Hot tears pricked at my face again, tears sliding down my cheeks.
The words rung in my head still lingering.
"DAD!"
It was all my fault. I turned and kissed the cold stone gently, giving me chills. She's dead and it's all because of me.
"I'm sorry Ellie." I whispered.
I sat up as I heard footsteps behind me.
"We have to go Dad."
"Go away Christian."
"Dad I can't do that."
"Where's Mitch?" I said in a monotone voice.
"Back at the house. C'mon." He reached his hand out as if it would help.
I wiped my eyes and stood up ignoring his hand. I walked to the car and got in slamming the door shut. I curled up and closed
my eyes letting old memories flooding back.

I remember when she was born. She had sugar soft blonde hair and silver eyes. She fit perfectly in the fold of my arm

I grabbed my hair and pulled at it crying more. Christian walked in and got in the car. He rubbed my back and patted my arm.
"Dad it wasn't your fault."
"Yes it was!" I cried out.
He sighed and started the car. He pulled from the side of the road and started home.

"Hello baby"
She opened her silver eyes and looked up at me. She opened her mouth slightly and cooed at me.

I felt more tears slide down my cheeks. I felt the car come to a stop and shuffled footsteps from outside the car.
My door opened and the cold air hit my arms making me shiver.
"Come on Scotty." Came Mitch's soft voice.
I stepped out and sat on the ground hiding my face in Mitch's chest.
"Scott we need to go inside."
Him and Christian pulled me up from the ground and drug me inside.
Once inside Mitch shooed Christian off to his room.
He crawled onto my lap and grabbed my chin. I looked at his ring and closed my eyes.

"Do you Scott Hoying take Mitch Grassi to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do"

He leaned in and kissed me gently.
"Ellie wasn't mine, but I'm sorry and I know this is hard."

"It's a girl!" They called cheerfully! Tears of happiness streamed down my face as they laid her on my chest. I was covered in sweat and was shaking slightly

I cried harder as Mitch rocked me and kissed my head.

I cried more as she took her first breath and let out a small cry on my chest. The doctors worked around me and some smiled a peaceful smile.

I slowly pushed Mitch off of me, I could see the hurt in his eyes.
"Im s-sorry baby." I said as I kissed him.
"I understand." He wrapped his arms around me and rubbed my back.
"I'm going t-to take a h-hot shower."
"Ok Hun." He let go of me.
I walked slowly up the stairs and into the bathroom.
I pulled my shirt off and looked down at the long scar stretching across my now toned abs. I looked away as tears threatened to fall again. I finished undressing and stepped into the shower turning it on.
I let the water get hot before stepping into it. Once it was I leaned on the wall on my arm and let the water run down me.

"Congratulations!" The cried out many times.
The small baby on my chest slowly calmed down and had stopped crying. She slowly breathed and made small cooes in her sleep.

I felt myself slowly losing air in my lungs and I collapsed to the floor.

I drifted off to sleep when they took her from my chest to make sure she was ok. She was perfectly healthy and weight 7lbs 8oz.

I felt cold hands on my arms and torso as people yelled. I opened my eyes to see everything blurry. I saw my lower half covered in a blanket....I was also in an ambulance.

When I first went into labor with her. I was in the house watching Christmas movies. I felt something cold run down my leg and my sweatpants were suddenly soaked.
"Christian!" I yelled. He ran down the stairs in shock.

"Mr. Hoying!" I woke up gasping with people around me.
"Dad!" Christian cried out.
"Stop! Let them help!"
I stopped moving and closed my eyes. I felt the air escape my lungs as before and the whole world suddenly drown out.

"Dad what do I do?!" He said shaking. "Call Mitch!" He scrambled to his phone and quickly called him.

I woke up to a silent room. The only sound was Christian clicking away at his phone and Mitch's sniffles.
I weakly squeezed his hand and opened my eyes.
"Scott!" He stood up to see my face. Christian stood up and walked to the other side of me.
"T-they thought you died dad!" He suddenly cried out. Him and Mitch both hugged me tightly.

Mitch ran over from his house next door and called 911.

I felt everything close in and the air escape again. Before I could cry out for help it felt like my lungs crashed in and I blacked out.

I felt, at ease. I looked below me and saw people rushing around me and Christian holding a crying Mitch.
"No!" I cried out! "I'm not ready!"
I suddenly heard a small cry that I'd heard before.
"E-Ellie?"
I walked in that direction and the cries were more audible. I then saw a crib with a small baby inside. No, with Ellie in it. She was weakly wrapped in a pastel pink blanket and crying.
I gently picked her up with shaking arms and held her against my chest like a used to.

I softly sang and rocked Ellie as she was snuggled up in a blanket. She was laying on my chest. She would occasionally coo in her sleep and move.

I gently bounced her and cried silently.
"Scott. Scott! Scott!"
I felt the cold air wash through my arms and Ellie was gone.
I suddenly felt like I was falling and all air was lost.
My eyes were forced shut and when I managed to open them there were doctors and nurses calling out.
Mitch dropped to the floor before pulling himself up and hugging me.
