By accident, with Love..

After the Accident

The man from the accident was sitting in the chair next to Tyler's bed. She was in the hospital. Tyler tossed and turned, she cried out in pain once she started to really wake up.

The man quickly got up and ran over to her bed, "shh, it's okay. You're in the hospital. My name is Dillon."

"Who?" Tyler looked around, very confused as to who was standing in front of her.
"Why am I here?"

"I am Dillon, I'm the one who helped you get out of your car... I'm sorry to startle you... but, you don't remember your car accident?"

Tyler tried to remember....but there was nothing. Her mind was blank. What is he talking about?

"Honey, can you tell me your name?" Dillon seemed concerned.

"My name is Tyler.." she felt so confused.

Dillon was relieved. He thought to himself "Okay, good. She knows her name."

He asked her, "do you know your birthday?"

"March 22nd...look, I know who I am. Why are you questioning me?" Tyler was getting irritated.

"I'm asking you because you don't remember the accident. What is the last thing you remember doing?"

Tyler tried to collect her thoughts together....there was nothing.... "why can't I think of anything? What's wrong with me? How come I don't remember anything?"

Dillon saw the confusion all in her face. He wasn't sure as to what he should do. He knew she fell into a concussion for a few days, but they didn't tell him about her memory. If it would be lost or not. He figured he should go tell the doctors she was awake now. He didn't want to rush them in here right away without letting her know who he was.

"I'll be right back, I'm going to go get the doctor...you'll be okay right?"

"I think so..." Tyler answered. Dillon walked out after nodding to her. She began to cry in confusion and frustration. She didn't know what was going on. How can she only remember who she was? "My name is Tyler. My name is Tyler Renae Kil. My birthday is March 22nd and I am 19 years old. I have a mother, I have a father. I remember them....but what are their names? Have I forgotten the last 19 years of my life..? Who am I really? If I can't remember anything else, how can I even know who I am really? Is Tyler really my name? Who do I know? What-"

Tyler's thoughts were interrupted by a tall male doctor walking into her room.

"Hi Tyler, I'm Dr. Wallace. How are you feeling?"

"I'm confused..."

"That's very normal. Were you aware that you were unconscious for 2 days?"

"No.."

"You had a very bad car accident, Tyler. You hit a tree and a lot of pressure was on your body. All of the bones in your body could have been broken...there are a few sprains and fractures. But nothing is truly broken. Someone was definitely watching over you, Miss Kil."

Tyler tried to adjust her body, but every move hurt. "Am I going to be okay? Why can't I remember anything?"

"Your memory loss is only temporary, it happens a lot after bad accidents. But yours is only temporary. It will come back within time. First, I need to ask. Do you know, or remember anyone I can call?"

Tyler tried so hard to think...she cried harder, "No...I don't.."

"That's okay," the doctor replied, "I'll be back shortly. Dillon will stay here with you. He hasn't left since you got here."

The doctor left and Dillon sat back down.

Tyler looked at him very closely. Brown eyes, light brown hair, very tan and muscular. She asked him, "Do I know you at all?"

Dillon sat up straight and looked at her, "Well, yeah. No, maybe not...your memory is gone. So you wouldn't have time to remember. I'm in your history class. In college. I know you. I've seen you around school. I'm friends with one of your roommates. But you were always next door."

Tyler teared up and took in a deep breath, she was so worked up. She couldn't remember a thing. "College. Classes? Roommates? Next door? Why was I never in my room?"

Tyler asked him, "Do you know anyone I was close to?"

"Skai. Skai Wren. She was your best friend for the longest time. But I believe something happened between you two. But that is the only person I remember you always being around."

"Can you call her please? Maybe she can help me...tell her what happened...maybe she'll understand and help me...even if we aren't on good terms." Tyler pleaded.

"Yes, of course. I'll go do it right now."

"Thank you."

Dillon walked out of the room, and Tyler thought and thought. "Skai....best friends? I don't know who she is....." she began to cry again. All these thoughts running through her mind, yet nothing she can remember. But soon enough, Dillon came back.

"She'll be here in an hour."

Tyler nodded. She felt terrified.
