"OK, enough, take a break" Lady Kalaya said, standing tall over Akina who had fallen back onto the grass, tried from all her efforts with this training.
The sun beat down in the cloudless sky, seemingly hotter everyday that passed by, but the wind was forgiving - it kept her sane throughout her long hours of training.
She couldn't train like everybody else, due to her circumstances with Casiphia being in full Fairy form all the time. Her Pixie-scar was alive and had her own identity despite their spiritual chained bound that kept them connected against their wills.
Casiphia was being impossible. Ever since the night Averna made it clear that she wouldn't be in this form forever and once training was completed she'd be returned to Akina via seal, the little fairy was purposefully doing whatever she could to delay any reachable progress of Akina's training nor would she allow her to reach her full potential.
Akina lay heavy on the grass, sweat beading on her forehead. She grimaced at the ache in her limbs as she turned to look at Casiphia who was sat near, hugging her knees with a very tempered look on her face.
"Look Casi," the adolescent started in a hoarse voice, "I understand you don't want to participate but-"
"No. Look, you're the one who doesn't understand!" The Pixie tossed her head, bringing a slight red flame to forcefield around her body.
Akina rose up to lean on her elbow, "Hey! I'm trying to make this work, I'm not doing this for myself you know."
"Ha!" Casiphia smirked, "that's hard to believe, if you ever stopped to consider my feelings instead of your own we wouldn't be in this huff!" she shouted back with narrowed eyes.
Akina sighed, unclenching her fists trying to keep her calm. She was used to this type of behaviour, she'd been through it all with Dori.
"Alright so you don't want to be sealed away again" Akina said after a few seconds silence, "you don't have to be."
Casiphia looked back at her doubtfully, "If you meant that you have taken this up with Averna days ago!"
"Stop raising your voice at me, I'm trying to reason with you!" Akina whispered sharply back her way.
Casiphia shook her head hard before burying her face into her arched knees.
Akina took a breath, "I'll talk to Averna and get her to promise not to carry out the sealing ritual."
Casiphia looked at her once more, "Really? But what if she doesn't listen!?"
"I think I'm old enough to have her work by my terms," Akina shrugged with a tired smile, "After all, they requested my help, remember?"
Casiphia hopped up to her feet, "Yes yes! This might actually work-"
"But on the condition that you work with me on this, we're suppose to be a team," Akina stated raising up to a seated position. Her messy pony tail swept her back as she turned to look down at Casiphia who was now smiling widely up at her.
She rolled her eyes, "So I'll take that as a yes?" The fairy nodded then flew up to stand on her shoulder, giving her neck a tiny pinch.
Akina rose to her feet and walked over to Lady Kalaya and Averna who were stood by a large tree beside a miniature waterfall pond.
"Averna, there's something I'd like to bring to your attention" Akina cleared her throat and folded her arms.
Kalaya narrowed her eyes, causing Akina to doubt her own confidence but instead she chose to ignore and focus only on her aunt who was squeezing excess water out of a cloth over the running water of the pond.
