Chapter 2
NOTE: This chapter is also edited a little bit. I added in a scene, but it won't make too much of a difference, it just helped the story flow a little better I guess.
It was Tuesday, and I didn't have to be on set today. I had the whole day to blow.
I was sitting in my bedroom, thinking of something to do, when my brother, Kayson, walked in. "I know you don't have anything to do today, so let's go laser tagging!" He smiled.
"Aren't you supposed to be at school?" I was super suspicious.
"I had my last final today, so I got out early. Do you really think I'd ditch?!?."
"Kayson, what am I going to do with you?" I said, half joking.
"I hope your ready to go, because I booked us a private game for 2 hours. That way no one will freak out about your famous-ness," he grabbed my hand and yanked me out of my room.
As I was trying not to fall down the stairs, I asked him "So it's just me and you?"
"Nahh, I invited like all my friends. You are officially my cousin who just happens to look like Amber Lee." He smirked and handed me a pair of sunglasses.
"Sometimes, I'm surprised that I'm even related to you." I said, slipping on the sunglasses.
"I know. Just admit it, I'm a genius." He looked back and winked at me.
We hopped in the car and headed off. It took us about 15 minutes to reach the laser tag place. As we were pulling into the parking lot, three guys came up and jumped right in front of our car.
"What the heck are they doing?" I asked Kayson.
"Being stupid, like always," he explained that they were his friends, and that they were just messing with them.
We parked, and went to greet them. Kayson introduced me to them as Ashley, and introduced them to me also, but I didn't quite catch their names. We all headed in, and ten minutes later, were in the arena.
...........
I stealthily snuck up behind one of Kayson's friends that he invited. The target was focused on Kayson, and wasn't paying attention to his backside. Wanting to have a little more fun, I came up behind him, and put him in a headlock while covering his mouth. He wriggled and attempted to scream as I whispered into his ear "Don't move or else." My gun was held up to his head. I was pretty proud of myself for being so ninja-like, even if it was just a game of laser tag.
"Put your hands up, and let Mr. Gonzales go!" I heard from behind me. Kayson and another one of his friends who I think was named Tyler walked towards me with their guns. I released 'Mr. Gonzales' and put my hands up, after laying my gun on the floor.
"Team up on the only girl, why dontcha?" I said.
"Yeah, pretty much," my brother replied. I wasn't going to take this. I smiled, briskly picked up my gun, and darted up the stairs.
"Get her!" Kayson shouted while taking after me. The other two split up.
I was the agile one in the family, and Kayson knew it. The pursuit raced on as I jumped over short obstacles. Kayson had trouble maneuvering with the same speed as me. I ran through a straight hallway with my older brother far behind me.
